LeBron has looked, well, old so far this season. And that injury didn't help matters. He didn't get going last season until March. As he's gotten older that's basically the best you can hope for from him. As of right now he's just a limited player out there. That jump shot isn't sustainable.

Thankfully Westbrook seems to have found some semblance of rhythm and has basically carried the team in this 1st half. Defensive rotations have looked a little better than the previous 2 games. Team still looks very disjointed as a whole, but it's basically the 3rd game with an entirely new roster. So I'll cut 'em some slack.

I actually think LeBron looks really great. He’s just clearly in “it’s a long season and the team needs a lot of time to get things figured out” mode, particularly with Russ.

I have been reading some variation of this from you since the 2012 LeBron thread lol. He's looked fine to me so far, just need to move AD to 5 to really open up the offense.

His defense has been great theyd be a bottom 5 defense through 3 games without him IMO. Offensively good but his numbers seem the result of hot shooting so far

Vogel sticks with what doesn't work for too long. No reason to keep playing DJ anymore. If you're playing two bigs and still giving up paint scores and offensive rebounds to a 6'1 guard, just go with a different approach, man.

I’ll never like Vogel. He stumbles his way to good lineups throughout games but he never fails to trot out the same trash to start games and halves. Jordan shouldn’t be getting minutes. AD needs to man up and play the 5. He wanted Russ, it’s time for him to sacrifice to make it work.

At this point I'm not convinced this is about AD. He's playing the 5 half the game as it is. Vogel is just using the lack of wings as an excuse to lean more on his beloved two-big lineups.

That could be the case. No one loves two-big lineups, especially two-big lineups with no stretch big, like Vogel does. Finally 8 minutes into the half Jordan comes out and good things happen.

Thank God, because the perimeter defence is unrecognisable from the last couple of years.

Melo is lethal as long as he's just bombing away when he gets space rather than doing his whole jab-step routine.

As much as I’ve loved hating on Carmelo the past few years I actually like when he comes into the game because he can make threes.

Westbrook is such a frustrating player at times.

14 minutes of DeAndre Jordan, -15 in these minutes. Why? They’re just giving games away. There’s also zero perimeter defense out there.

This is going down to the wire. I just realized this is their 3rd straight home game and more to come in the next 2 weeks where they might have the easiest schedule (@ Sa, @ Okc, VS Cle, VS Hou, VS Hou, VS Okc, VS Okc). Doesnt get much easier than that but theyd have already had 7 home games. Theyve arguably been better on the road the past 2 seasons so lets see if its the same story without the defense of the past 2 years
