Bjelica looks like he is in better shape right now than he was for us last year.

Well the team is still playing hard & scrappy, nice to see.

Hopefully we can go on a run when Curry has a rest here soon.

Fox continuing the poor play since he stepped foot on the court in preseason

The transition defense looks better this year. We've stopped 2 certain baskets and then made them work for 2 other possessions that last year I think would EZ money for the Warriors.

Not sure I like Walton's play calling, Fox is too unreliable as a first scoring option.

I'm not sure that can be said about the Fox we saw last year. He's just been bad so far.

Id send him to Philly yesterday. I'm sick of him. Terrible since preseason. Cost the team the game with dumb turnovers two out of three games

^^^I like Fox but games like this, really forces you to think.

Fox is a 25 ppg scorer based off last season but do we really need him to be? I’m guessing, no he should not. His (outside) shooting still kind of stinks. And his FT% is still pretty bad for a PG.

I’ve always said from the beginning of the whole Ben Simmons saga, I would trade Fox for Ben. Ben would be great for this team.

I wonder if Fox continues to put up more stinkers, the wheels will begin to turn for a Ben Simmons trade from the Kings side?

We'd to agree to trade Fox for Simmons earlier. Now it looks like Mori will ask more((

Odd start the season. Defense looks promising, offense not so much at times. Like everyone had said, has a lot to do with Fox.

I wouldn't trade him for Simmons just yet. I'd be more open to moving Fox if Davion looks like he did tonight 20 games in on most nights.

Some of this is on Walton.

What a disappointing game. Good to see the D play well early on. Second half not so much.
Every game so far the guys have built a lead early on. In the second and third quarters though there have been far too many poor passes that would be turnovers on any basketball court.

It's obvious this team needs to push the tempo more often though and the number of times Hali, Fox, and TD gave up open looks from 3 was concerning.

Fox has not been great so far to start the year but I'm still not trading him for Simmons. He got off to a slow start last year too, just needs some time to get in a groove.

Closing out games is becoming an early season concern.

4th Quarter Vs. Blazers Outscored 36-24
4th Quarter Vs. Jazz 29-21

Just want to say that this looks like the best Kings team I've seen in a VERY long time. Lots of competent, athletic players on the court all at once. I think your guard rotation is going to be really tough to deal with for a lot of teams.

Seems like kind of an extreme reaction.

Edit: To be clear, I've always waffled on Fox for Simmons, and I don't think being in favor of it is indefensible. I just don't think we need to be overreacting to what has been a rough start. It's 3 games in. We know this play is not who Fox is.

I've been consistent as well. I would trade Fox for Simmons. Filler, draft picks on either side of the deal.

I don't think Hali, Fox, and Mitchell are workable. Kings desperately need size and Fox is hell bent on becoming the next Westbrook.

Mitchell
Hali
Harkless
Simmons
Holmes

6th: Buddy

I like this version of the Kings team than any Fox-lead teams, imo.

To me, Fox is kind of the odd man out. Don't get me wrong, Fox is nice but does he makes sense for this team? Not sure.

See my post (just now) on the kings trade thread. I'd punt Buddy as well. I would add Fox's salary in addition to the question of whether he makes this team better.

Who is scoring the ball for us on that team? Even if you keep Buddy, there's not one player you can give the ball to and ask to go get a bucket. Fox might not be an elite automatic bucket getter but he's miles ahead of anyone in that lineup at it, he just needs another shot creator next to him on the wing in my opinion.

I do think Simmons has become underrated but I think one thing a lot of Kings fans in particular seem to gloss over with Simmons is that he has Embiid next to him as an elite first scoring option. Simmons is the third, probably even fourth, scoring option on that team. I just do not think he would work as well as a lot of people anticipate in Sac without completely reshaping the entire roster. A straight up Fox for Simmons swap just doesn't make sense to me.
