Arizona Lead Up

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Oct 25, 2021 1:03 am

Short week, road game against a very good team.

I believe we came out of the Washington game without significant new injuries. Preston will be back Thursday. Myers and King (I know, I know) could be back. Bahk unlikely.

We'll have to play error free on both sides to win. But win we can.

Cards favored by 3.5
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Interesting that AZ couldn't sell out today. Sure Houston stinks but you have a good team that's fun and a small stadium (capacity of 63,000). It will be full Thursday.

I’m not feeling great about it either, but we won in SF when I thought we wouldn’t

This would definitely be the best time for a complete game.

Die hard pack fan here and i hate to admit it but your spot on.First off the packers arnt clicking on all cylinders on O yet not good.Secondly their D IMO is still a train wreck no alexander no king.
Against the cards O not a good thing.Green Bay will have to play perfect to beat them. That means scoring TDs in the red zone not FGs being aggressive with the play calling to keep the chains moving.
Im more worried about the D washi gton put up 426 total yards on this D my oh my with those wrs are we looking at a 40 spot put on this D

The reason you beat the bad and mediocre teams is so taking a loss in game like this won't be so painful. Not gonna sweat it too hard if we get routed here but i'd like to see them keep it competitive.

Barry has COVID and won't be making the trip.

I'll be in the stadium and volunteer to take over responsibilities.

The Packer Defensive front seven lack the speed to contain Murray. He'll have both a hundred yards rushing on scrambles and 250+ passing. 35-24 Arizona with the win.

I have to say, no matter how it has looked at times and how soft the schedule has been, 6-1 with 7 starters out currently (Z, Preston, Jaire, King, Bakh, Myers, MVS) is pretty damn impressive. The coaches and players deserve a lot of credit.

There is literally zero reason we should win this game though. Short turnaround and a West coast travel, DC has Covid, and we will still be without significant starters against arguably the best team in the NFL that is also well-rounded and has a QB that can kill with his legs.

Only hope in this one to me is if Rodgers goes off. Like 5 TD and dropping dimes all over the field.

Red Zone defense has been terrible. Overall we're 8th in points allowed per game and 7th in yards allowed per game, while missing our best pass rusher and all pro CB. Kyler may shred us but he's shredded everyone this season. The Niners were the only team to hold them under 30

The Pack's offense averages 24 points a game and Arizona has the #1 scoring defense in the NFL despite having already played 4 offenses who score more points per game than the Pack does in the Rams, Tennessee, Cleveland, and Minnesota.

Gonna be a challenge on both sides of the ball on Thursday night.

I'm looking forward to this game. It has schedule loss written all over it so my expectations are low. But it's possible to win a shootout. AZ is due for a clunker (so are we)

I've watched too many NFL games in my life to ever buy going into any game expecting a blowout. Their offense is legit but there's a lot of fluky stuff about their #1 scoring defense. They're living off turnovers and it's covering up for their straight up bad run defense (18th in yards, 31st in YPC). A shootout win or loss wouldn't surprise me either way, but you probably want to get the running game established in this one and keep the ball out of Murray's hands. Seems like the perfect game to unleash Jaylon Smith as a spy and just have him shadow Murray every time he drops back.

Only things going for packers is it's a Thursday night game and those are weird AF for both teams. Could see packers playing ball control or trying to win in a shootout. Don't think they can but anything can happen thursday night.

Also - Packers seem to play well indoors. Other than that, I think packers take a 10 point L this week. All i care about this week is health. come away relatively healthy with a mini buy and go into KC and put up 50 on the chiefs.

Lot of people talking like the Packers are a .500 team playing some unbeatable juggernaut and niether of those things are true.

Arizona is a very good team. So is GB. Short weeks are strange.
