Keeping Track of OP
Ranked by win percentage.
FIRST place:
MettaWorldPanda: 5-1 (0.83) (Crushed the souls of the Tragic, Burned Down the Nots, Scorched the Bobcats, and smoked the Pooh Bears' stash, and broke Luka and the Bronies)
2nd Place:
PuppaBear (4-1) (0.80) Crushed the Blues in Utah. What a start! Beat the OKC guppies. Crushed the souls of the sorry Pelicants. AND NOW, he's taken the charms of the Whizlets for a spell. His only loss (against the Wizards away) was just to confuse everyone. I'm sure PuppaBear will be back.
3rd place
IggieCC: 11-4 (73.3%) (beat the Bambis, lost to the Pacifiers, and returned to Indiana to slay the same, gave the team to Bobby Portis Jr to use as a mouthpiece the last game though, Got us a win in Portland and a statement win (still without Jimmy, Bam, Kieff & others) against Chris Paul & the Phoenix Black Holes. Dismantled the Chickenhawks completely in Heatlanta and then in MIAMI. Yes. Atl GT 0 - 2 Iggie. Not bad, DemonOP, but you did set us up to lose to Embiid, Harris, & Co. for the first time in 2018 at home. And then began the tough job of redeeming himself by beating the Spurs. DemonOP IggieCC continued to stomp his way upon the Hornets, a game which featured a 35-8 smackdown in the 3rd quarter. Then DemonOP yikes! (sorry, habitual...) IGGIEcc beat the Whizz into such a pulp their assistant coach had to be escorted off by Montrezl Harrell. Ouch. And... Then DemonOP broke the PeliCANTs, so named, because as Eric Reid knows, they can't effing fly. OP also barely survived Kyrie Irving's Nots.
Losing to the Mavericks, though, is a firing offense, and so we have moved on. Disappoint OP to be sure. We were all cheering for you, but you let us down.
4th Place:
HeatFanLifer: 8 -3 (72.7%) (Overcame the all star-studded Piss-Tons, lost to a team that actually calls itself "the pups"). Who would think such a team is fearsome? Well here we are Thanks. After a long hiatus where every OP did a really great job, HFL returned to guide the Heat and Russell Westbrook who teamed up to play 6 on 1 against Lebron). Duncan Robinson hit a bunch of 3s again:
Finally, HFL led us into the game against the other team from Los Angeles who predictably lost, mostly due to Gabe Vincent, who is seen in this drive against the Wizards (in a completely different game, but I digress)
Then the Raptors came to Miami, bringing FREEZING weather almost to our porches: RIP HFL. 3 game streak. Not bad. Nope. Also, survived the worst game of the season, where neither Charlotte nor Miami wanted to win until double overtime. We lulled them to sleep and clubbed them on the head. Against the Knicks, though, we were fairly merciless. 15-point win in MSG. Not bad, sensei.
And, finally, you beat the SPURs and bulls
before a thoroughly demoralizing LOSS against the Bucks? The Bucks? Pathetic.
5th Place:
harlem_ball: 6-3 (75%) (after a sad game where unfortunately, and not at all the fault of the OP, the Clipturds slipped by us. Lost to the Pooh Bears who were red hot. Again not at all the fault of OP (unlike ChalmDown & Bishop45 to be clear) who did his best for which all true fans are very grateful)
harlem_ball brought us back from the cliff of despair by clubbing the baby Simbas:
AND THEN, harmlem_ball helped us CRUSH the Celtics!
After that, it wasn't much more to crush Zach Lavine, Vuc, and the rest of the Bulls.
This OP gave us Kyle Lowry Day in Toronto and the return of Victor Oladipo. Potentially infecting Spo in order to play Omër Yurtseven seems a little hamhanded, but I can't argue with the result.
OP then led us to destroy the Charlotte Hornets, who lost by 29 points after scoring 115. That is the most points the Heat scored in their history in a regular-season (not OT) game. Also set the record for number of 3's scored: 23. The Hornets were flattened.
ALSO: Please let it be known that Atlanta GT is no cause for worry with Harlem_Ball as our OP. Atlanta was beaten far more than the score of the game. It was a solid thrashing.
Obligatory loss to the hapless Magic to finish the season. Sorry about that...
Quiz (2-1) (67% -- Beat the schlepps from Philadelphia with a Gabe Vincent 26-point game. Topped this off with a career high for Max Strus and Gabe Vincent to clobber the Mouseketeers. That was a night where Kyle Lowry reigned supreme. Somehow couldn't beat the Pissants though, even when they were clearly a cricket team and not a basketball team.
DayOfMourning: 2-1 (67%) (Eviscerated Nick Nurse and his purple dinosaurs (the Barneys), even without Yurtseven and Lowry, aka with one hand tied behind my back.) Followed this victory off with beating the Portland Stompers from the National Lampoon classic Bored of the Rings. Their soul was vastly despoiled.
Insfo: 8-4 (66.7%) (Destroyed the Cattle in Chicago, an auspicious start to be sure, but then the Heat folded up entirely and gave themselves up to the Nutless. BUT THEN, insfo did the best thing ever. He led us to a thrashing of the Pacifiers, Pisstons, Mickies, and for the banner... For the banner he defends the entire home stand by shutting down the Bealless Whizlets. Bravo. Bravo! Bravo!!! Insfo has seized first place on New Year's Eve by leading the Miami Heat to a victory over the Subsonic Rockets. Took one for the team in Toronto, but on the return, Insfo defeated Detroit, despite letting them drop 19 points in a row on us late in the game. Against the Thunder, Insfo conjured a resurgent Kyle Lowry!
The loss at Philadelphia? Flat performance by the supporting cast, and the stars didn't want it enough.
9th Place
Bishop45: 5-4 (55.5%) Lost to the Cavs, crushed the Bucks, and CRUSHED the Bulls, before losing AGAIN to the Calves. A win against Brooklyn away without Butler, Tucker, Lowry, Kief, and Dipo was impressing, but when Butler & Tucker returned the team kept the 76ers to a season low 82 points. We kicked ass.
AND FINALLY... OP gave us back Victor Oladipo who returned in the stunning defeat of the Houston Rockets at HOME!
But... In a terrible turn of events, our resident disk jockey was played by the Suns. Who loves the Suns? Not everyone.
Bishop fell on the sword against the NETS too. Ouch.
10th Place:
Wiltside: 2-2 (beat what looks like (so far) the best team in the West, lost to Denver once the gummies kicked in... and later, WILTSIDE is the OP we needed to beat the Cavs, but our OP was unable to stop the bleeding the Pups have inflicted on us over the last four seasons.)
Dead Last Place:
gom: 0-1 (lost to Warts & knocked off Butler too, helluva job)
ChalmDown: 0-1 (lost to the Lebron Circus Show) Clearly distracted.

10/10 thread. Would read again.
I'd also like to point out that I went 5-1 in PreSzn to set the tone, including a banner with only L coming in the game we rested all rotation players.

I had not noticed this coincidence, but it might be because one OP sabotaged several seasons of Miami Heat basketball adventures, while the other OP just wins. Keep it up, MWP!

Re: Keeping Track of OP
I am not buying it, I think were being lulled to sleep with wins for the purpose of taking advantage of us later. I know how this ends, a bar of soap in the bathroom floor sliding about, water steam covering the vicinity, and MWP with his hungry dingle dangle looking for the opening. Of course by then its too late!!! were knee deep in playoffs with 6MoY Tyler, Jimmy MVP, Bam DPOY, Spo COTY and too much winning to care what OP does to our soul.....

uh-huh... Wiltside laughing today at the lack of faith of some Heat fans. Don't sleep on Aussies, because they are awake when Miami is sleeping.

Re: Keeping Track of OP
DemonOP is linked to 100% of the losses and only 28% of the wins. Gotta keep things fair here, if he hurt MWP, he helped Wilt (so I count him in that W). Only for selfish reasons I assume, but still.
OP for NBA FT record
