Grayson will be huge for us through the year. He is such a smart player and fits the team so well. Pat has worked his ass off to get better, still does the occasionally bite on pump takes. Hood looked very average, I don’t have much confidence in him long term.
I just want to see the team at full strength for a few weeks but I’m more than ok waiting.
Giannis current FT% - 72.5%

Maybe Hood can get some games together and we can trade him for a big of some sort?
Looking at the upcoming games, we can sit Jrue and Brook until December. Not many good teams coming up. Would be nice to have Bobby and another guard tho.

Love how we can just throw Giannis/Khris + <whatever> out there and still win games. This is going to be a fun, laid back regular season. Bud getting cocky with his lineups, only playing guys when they're 100%, and racking up W's. Champ sh*t.

Didn't see the game, but the positive notes on Nwora's all-around game are really fun!
That said, in the teensy small-sample 4-game set, he hasn't actually been good at the thing he's supposed to be good at: shooting.
-He's shooting 37.5% overall, and 33% from 3.
-Fortunately both of those are likely to improve.
Grayson Allen is 39.5% overall, and 31.5% from 3. Again, both are likely to improve.
But yeah, thus far the two guys expected to be excellent outside snipers haven't really been hitting at an efficient level. And, they're 3-1 anyway. If/when both of those guys start shooting better, the offense will only look better and better.

So like when do we start talking giving Pat C a Grayson level extension?

Even with pat's improvement, i just dont think he's worth that much. Hopefully no one else thinks that either and we continue to employ him.

Re: PG: Short Handed Bucks Take Care of Indy
I'm torn on the idea of extending Pat, on one hand he's like 4 years older than Allen so signing him as a potential upside play doesn't seem as great.
That said, the fact we're even talking about extending him seems really funny after the reaction to his contract last year. He's clearly improved quite a bit in his Bucks tenure, from an 11th man type whose game was basically energy + taking but not really hitting 3s, to a rotation staple that can actually shoot/score and does some glue guy stuff. So maybe it's not the craziest thing.

I think PatC will get a PJ Tucker money.

I fully expect to resign Pat. Bud loves Pat, Pat seems to love the Bucks and Milwaukee, and I don't think he'll get some massive offer where the Bucks offer won't be atleast competitive.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I absolutely want Pat back if the money is right. And I think it will be. In addition to being servicable (ideally for no more than 20m), I would imagine that he is not the type of player that we'd have problems with if his role decreased. He also seems good for the team/locker room.

That's where I'm at right now with Nwora too. Potential gets coaches fired, and he has yet to take full advantage of the opportunity he's be given especially from a shooting standpoint. The Bucks will be near full strength soon so the clock is ticking.

Will be interesting to see if they keep trotting Justin Robinson out there if Jrue is gonna be sidelined any longer. Only 4 games but he's been flat out terrible and the numbers back up the eye test.

Kudos to PatC for outplaying what most thought was an overpriced contract. His volume and 3 pt % have gone up the past 2 years. He's set up his game to age well into his early 30s when his legs lose a little bounce. His profile also gets a bump from hitting clutch shots on the big stage last year, and most likely again this year in the playoffs. There's a team out there ready to overpay.
The more immediate question is how will Bud handle Pat's minutes when the team is at full strength. Pat actually leads the team in minutes played to this point. The conversation on this board has primarily been Grayson v. DDV around minutes. Pat's playing at least at their level so far this season. It's a really nice problem to have.

And, most importantly, Giannis loves Pat.
I would be shocked if he isn't back next year.

Re: PG: Short Handed Bucks Take Care of Indy
It was a surprising, bonus win. Thankfully got a return on the investment of not sitting the rest of the key players.
Never gotten the negativity on Pat, especially given his contracts. He's a reliable, well-rounded, bargain. But no, not as good as Donte, let alone better, injuries aside. Maybe prisoner of the moment, there.

It's kind of sinking in for me what it means that Giannis is 26 years old, still improving, and was just named to the list of the 76 greatest players of all time.

Nwora has actually been really good, he just hasn't shot well. However, we've played 3 of 4 on the road.
I'm guessing the shooting numbers for both Grayson and Nwora will go up a after a few home games. Giannis will probably hit more 3s too.
