It’s insanely early, but great? As expected? He’s been honest, forthright, and really trying to give guys chances to see who and what they’re really are. And he’s brought a great, and deeper, staff with him. And he’s admitted his errors when it was right to.

Granted, Bjorkgren looked good for the first couple weeks last year too, before he couldn’t fake it anymore. I have much more belief in Carlisle not having to fake it, though.

When it comes to Carlisle, I guess I'm a bit in the middle. Never been a huge fan but don't really dislike him either. Although the way we have played in the third quarters so far, I have to worry that he is putting the players to sleep with his half-time talks.

So far I’ve not been a fan of his minutes allotment for players. Not happy I Jackson is not seeing the court more. Hopefully it’s just that Carlisle’s trying to learn what each player can do. For the players who aren’t getting minutes who knows if they’re just not seasoned enough, practicing bad, not picking up the offense, or a position logjam? Not thrilled about Carlisle’s urgency to stop the big runs and also hope he gets more strict with Brogdon’s frequently going 1 on 1 where he’s forcing bad shots instead of running the offense. At times it feels like this is a big learning experience for the coaches and that there’s not a huge urgency to correct issues and win rather more urgency to figure out what the team can and can’t do win or lose. I’m frustrated with losing the first two games because I really felt like the Pacers should have won those. Bucks I didn’t feel that way as they just outplayed/outcoached the Pacers. Brogdon just seems to be apologetic tone and that yeah we have to get these issues fixed

Sad thing is that I’m not sure the Pacers have enough depth to climb into the top 8 without other teams having injuries and the Pacers being healthy rest of the season. Looking at the current standings it’s hard to figure out who gets knocked out of top 8. As of now Boston, Brooklyn, and Indiana are not in playoff position and those that are look like they belong. I know it’s early but I believe it’s gonna be a rough season. I’m listening to the after game press conferences and Sabonis seems a bit agitated about the losing. I’m glad he shows that emotion when answering questions. Carlisle is confusing to read as when a player like Goga or Brissett do well it seems like he’s complimentary of their effort but kinda shocked that he gave them minutes and they did well. Brogdon just comes off like we have issues to fix because we’re losing and tows the company line lol.

I’m hoping a lot of problems are fixed with LeVert coming back but who knows how he’ll fit in ? Sorry for the frustration post but I don’t dislike Carlisle just dislike the start of this season and the rough schedule doesn’t help.

way too early to say anything more than it's better than last year. I think we all knew it would take the players time to learn the new coaches. I know I underestimated the time it will take for the coaches to learn the players.
