I’d be fine with giving BK a shot at backup PG. I 100% know he’s a better baller than Gabe, still.

Any one get the perception that Herro tends to mimic other players? It seemed to me he wanted to be a bit of a mini dragic early on..and we would get the circus layups.... After last night we get the Lowery version with no look passes and the like....
I think Lowery is rubbing of on him, and if he can be that guy from last night for more then one game..it would solve so many problems

Looking forward to giving John Wall ten minutes a game after he agrees to forfeit $90 million. Gun b good.

Potential? He's trying to come back from a torn ACL in 2017. He's made 80 million in his career and at this point shouldn't have delusions of big contract at this point, more then likely he's trying to get back because of his love of the game.
Best case scenario for him, he gets back into the NBA as one of the last players on a roster looking to use him in spot minutes which makes no sense for more then half the teams in the NBA since they'd rather have potential on the roster vs a vet coming back from a torn ACL.
The video isn't about looking good against lesser players, it's looking to see how he moves on his repaired knee, he's proven to be a good player before the injury so the question is if the knee is good enough to let him be anywhere near what he use to be.

Hard to imagine him getting a reasonable buyout from Houston, can't imagine them wanting to pay out even half his 90mil deal. So he'd have to leave a lot of money on the table to get out of Houston that he likely won't get back over the course of his career. That being said I really can't imagine any other team being willing to pay Wall 90mil over the next 2yrs for what he can give you so I doubt Houston find a trade partner for him.
If he's bought out we can offer him the BAE which is as much money as most teams can give him I believe. It's going to come down to whether he'd be okay taking a backup role over starting.
The only teams I can maybe see him getting the starting nod on would be.
Denver
Clippers
New Orleans
Philly
Orlando
The only ones out of those that makes some sense for his role and fit with the team would be Denver and maybe the Clippers.
We can only hope that Oladipo was in his ear since his time in Houston and coming here telling him all the good things.

Re: Miami Heat Regular Season Thread 21-22 Vol. 1
If we could get Oladipo healthy and get Wall in a buyout it would make a ton of sense to then move Herro to the starting lineup and have Robinson off the bench with those guys. Herro seems to have a lot better chemistry on the court when playing with Lowry anyway.
Lowry/Wall
Herro/Oladipo
Butler/Robinson
Tucker/Morris
Bam/Dedmond
For one it gives us more size on the bench and not have to play 3 guards. I feel like its a little overkill to share the ball between Wall, Oladipo and Herro in the 2nd unit. I think for Wall to be effective off the bench he should have the ball in his hands more.
Adding Wall would keep the pace of the team high even when our starters are off the floor and in the half court I really like the idea of a Wall/Dedmond pick and roll with Robinson/Oladipo spacing from 3. Feel like we could also add more spacing by replacing Morris for Strus and have both Robinson and Strus out there for stints.

I also have a feeling that if we get Wall our PG rotation will be similar to how it was with Nunn and Dragic last few years. Lowry will have something like 29-30mpg while Wall gets like 26mpg and they will interchange getting increased minute games when the other sits out.

Wall would be interesting. He is a different point guess than Lowry. He is a drive and kick pick n pop point guard like Dragic when he first joined the Heat. Would work well with Yurtseven, Herro and Strus

Wall isn't coming here. I'd like him here, but I don't see him coming off the bench at this point of his career.
Maybe the Nets?

The theory is if Wall signs at mid season for the min for a few months that being able to stay home in Miami while be in the playoffs is very attractive option. And next summer he gets a permanent job somewhereKingDavid wrote:Wall isn't coming here. I'd like him here, but I don't see him coming off the bench at this point of his career.

This team with Wall on the second unit would be Finals bound.

My impression is that James Harden rubbed him the wrong way when he called out his Houston teammates + extra antics before eventually getting shipped out. BK makes sense if the Kyrie saga isnt resolved but I dont think Wall is a fan of Harden.

Like I said, Knight looks good against that "competition". probably better than John Wall at this point... which is not saying much since Wall can't hit the back of a barn.

Brandon is a better fit for the team, but Wall is the better player and I agree that he won't want a bench role even if he were paid handsomely for it... but in the end I don't think neither of them is coming here and Pat is going to stick with Gabe, hero, "louwdy" and Oladipo

I can accept that no one is out there is playing 100% on D. But that is not YMCA competition
