What I like about KPJ is that this dude isn't afraid to mess up his counting stats.

Jacks end of quarter shots, no problems.

Turns ball over 9 times in a game, no problems.

There is a decent chance something clicks, and he becomes an all-star lite kind of player. Pretty high quality for a castaway player.

Give it some time. Mav offense is a mess and it´s not on the players. Basically the same roster had the 1st and 9th (top 5 when healthy) best offense in the last two seasons with Luka running the show. Now Kidd has screwed up the spacing. Runs more plays for KP, DFS and others. So far it isn´t working.

Yea, I agree with that and some of it is on Kidd. But even over the last two years, I think he could have done more to establish Porzingis in the offense. He gets tunnel vision and its okay for 3 and D guys and Finishers because he can find them whenever...but he looks off Porzingis or doesn't seem to see him a lot. I can understand why KP would be frustrated.

Are you trolling or were you actually watching games? KP couldn't do anything in the post and still can't.. What do you want him to do?

I'm not trolling. I'm not talking about the post. I've watched a lot of Mavs games. As a creator with the green light to do basically whatever he wants on offense...he doesn't prioritize getting KP the ball and in P&R looks him off a lot, many times for horrible shots.

Luka is great, but higher-level pure point guards like CP3, Magic or Jason Kidd would put KP in more positions to succeed. I'm not saying that Luka is low IQ, I just don't know if he is up there with the elite basketball IQs of all time (and idk if he is guaranteed to get there). Maybe he gets better, but I'm noticing more differences now (I thought he'd be a little further ahead here). But obviously some stuff will come with time.

vs. Raptors

Kristaps Porzingis didn’t have a big role in the comeback and shot just 11-for-33 over the two games. The Mavs have scored just 70 points on 94 offensive possessions (74 per 100) with both Doncic and Porzingis on the floor, but 83 points on just 63 possessions (132 per 100) with Doncic on the floor without Porzingis. It’s a small sample size and Porzingis isn’t the only Mavs player who hasn’t shot well in those both-on-the-floor minutes, but it’s not a good start for the big guy.

KP had 13 and 20 FG's in game 1 and 2. He is shooting 33% combined from the floor. Luka is at 9.5 APG right now. Mavs tried everything to get KP involved in first 2 games and didn't work. Eye test and statistics show the same result. He's just not the player you think he is. (at least yet). Maybe he'll get better with the season.

But it's also true that Kidd is using suspect lineups and running plays that are also not suitable probably for KP right now. Their offense and rotations have nothing to do with Doncic.
