I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to win this. If you're looking to indulge and dip your hand in the excuses cookie jar:

The Wizards? First game rust.
The Celtics blowout W? Yeah that's what's supposed to happen.
The Mavs L? 2nd game of a b2b.
The Bulls? Close game with an outlying number of turnovers.

So ok, that's enough excuse cookies.

Win tonight, or **** off.

A loss tonight points to joining TWO 3.0.

Tank for Hardy, Holmgren or Banchero!!! Jalen Duren or Hunter Sallis?

Shaun Livingston was the 4th overall pick, came directly out of high school and I believe his serious injury happened in only his second season. He was thought to have All Star potential and I think it is fair to assume that Dalano Banton will not reach those heights. It is also fair to see the similarities between the two though and it will be fun to watch him develop his game in the years to come.

I actually think both Scottie and OG can guard Sabonis, but I still think we lose this.

Livingston was athletic like Penny Hardaway. Banton is more like a playmaking Stacey Augmon with 3 pt shooting. If Banton can carve out a 15 year career then Masai keeps churning gold.

lmao i wouldn't be surprised.

Reddit has been unkind to him as well. Heck, even the Raptors FB group hasn't been nice to him. Either way, this might end up benefiting us in the long term, Fred seems to be fueled by criticism.

Hopefully Birch is feeling healthy enough to start. He's been the best center on the team. Raps need more stability from the center spot and precious is way too inconsistent.

I think Boucher will need more time to adjust from C to PF.
He doesn't have ball handling and passing, while he cannot defend C (and sometimes can't boxout with his lack of strength).

If he can only play the C spot, I think we might trade him, as this is his contract year.

Man, I drafted Boucher in my fantasy league and now he's playing 5 mins.

Will be interesting to see how Precious and Barnes handle the physicality of Pacer's front court.

Me too dude, and I made the dumbass decision to drop Precious after game 1 (For Duarte) when I should have dropped Boucer, frigging CHAPPED

I really thought that if the Raptors beat the Bulls it would have created some momentum during this softer part of the schedule.

Now of course Indy is getting a major piece back in Levert:

LeVert said, "I’m trusting the coaches and medical staff, but I’m ready to go." The Pacers have listed LeVert as questionable for their game at the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
- Realgm article

That's a 20 PPG scorer back for Indy, plus they Brogdon to help him.

The rookie Duarte will also be a tough cover as he can shoot it with range. Plus they have rando Jeremy Lamb that you know will give us buckets.

Ultimately we don't have the frontcourt to mix it up with Sabonis and Turner so that will the interesting how we play this. I'd be tempted to play Birch and Achuiwa along side OG, Barnes and FVV.

I am hoping they find more minutes for Banton. When he is at home he should be playing 15 mins. His Rexdale vibe alone is game changing.

He's hurting my team being a net negative, horrendous FG% :banghead:

Livingston was NOT as athletic as Penny. Maybe, post-injury Penny, but def not prime Penny.

I think Livingston is a tough comp, as he never got his legs under him (understandably, since he was a high schooler) before he blew out his knee.

I remember him being a great prospect based on height and feel for the game (i.e. a supposed tall true PG).

I don't think he ever really had elite playmaking tho.

Delano definitely reminds me of Livingston.

Trade Siakam for Poeltl straight up. We go to the playoffs.

I'd love Poeltl, but we can keep Siakam, his best friend and someone who he had great synergy with on the court, and still get Poeltl with trade that's not so lopsided.

Lets not get carried away here. Though Poeltl is already one of the best defensive bigs in the league and his offensive is taking another step forward. He's always show flashes of great playmaking but its coming together for him.

We’ve been ignoring offence for years. Surprised we’re not dead last in all categories.

Some bright side, yes our shooting isn't fantastic, if you take the last 3 games, or offence is actually 9th. And our rebounding % is 1st. Our defence has also been 10th.

So yeah while our shooting has been bad, being the #1 team in offensive rebounding helps, especially because if it's Barnes crashing the boards, well he guards guards alot anyways so it doesn't leave us with no rim protection.

I'm mostly surprised how good our rebounding has been considering we don't have a true center.
