Looking at the numbers Duarte is an Elite 3 point shooter thus far but not really anything else.

44.8% from 3 is very impressive, but overall he's scoring 19.8 points on 17 shots.

The ROY is Mobley's to lose imo, Green will have some high scoring games, but also some really bad nights.

Cade is a tossup.

Barnes looks great but he's not in Mobley's tier atm.

Mobley has been the most impactful rookie thus far imo. Also how many teams can actually defend a Mobley shot? Imagine if Mobley adds Dirks fadeaway to hit shot lol.

Yeah I’ve been catching parts of games (including the one you’re referencing) and Suggs looks good on D and in transition or when the ball is popping. He seems out of his depth when it comes to creating against a set defence…but I mean, 95% of players struggle with that, but I guess when you’re a top 5 pick people expect you to be able to do everything. *shrug*

The shooting will come. He has good mechanics. He just needs reps and confidence.

Small sample size since I haven’t watched him in the NBA enough, but one thing I worry about with Suggs is he appears to be quiet on the court. But again, he’s a rook (and maybe I’m not watching well due to limited sample size) so I expect that to improve assuming my observation even has merit.

People thought he'd be for us what Lowry was, so him being a mediocre half-court weapon is pretty damning

I don’t see the Aldridge or Camby comparisons really. Not sure if either of those guys are as fluid away from the basket on both offence and defence as Mobley can be (or is).

I only caught the end of last night, a Knicks broadcast. They showed Suggs on the bench near the end, and Mike Breen said he played a fine game. Walt Frazier added that he and Cole both seemed to play better apart than together.

I still think Suggs will become a great player, but being on a bad team with another young star PG is an unfortunate start. I guess the narrative of waiting a few years to judge between Barnes and Suggs has flipped 180.

As an aside, they showed Cole Anthony's mom, Greg's ex-wife, Crystal sitting courtside. I hadn't heard of her but google informed me she's a lawyer, author, producer of the doc Little Ballers (which Clyde referenced). Also she looked pretty stunning sitting there.
