This team will never get anywhere with Beal as our "franchise player". Don't get me wrong, I like Beal, but he is not a top 5 player, and we are going to be paying him as if he is.
He's a good player and top notch scorer, but he lacks size, he's not a great athlete, he's not a great shooter, he doesn't defend, he turns it over alot, he makes a lot of mistakes, he doesn't have great handle, and he complains to the refs too much because he thinks he's better than he is, and he's not a great passer. He's a very good player, but he's not elite, and we will have to pay him like he is. Look at the haul we got for Westbrook. If we can get back a better package + draft picks for Beal, we need to consider it.
Lol, you really think you stating anything ground breaking? So do you trade away every player that doesn't become a top 5 player? Seems like you'd have a tough time filling out a roster.
Not every player is getting paid a Super Megamax contract. It's not that he's not top 5, it's that he's getting paid like he's KD, Steph, Kawai, LeBron... And he's not. And it's not close.
