Reddish-Markaneen-Turner is way better than DFS-KP(this version)-Powell...i mean, they play another sport :lol:

I don't know if ,plus Luka and THJ (or Bullock), would be a contender starting 5 but i would try for sure.
I don't care about FRP, we can't draft.

They definitely lose the rapts game without kp and to say otherwise is ridiculous, he was dominant defensively and made clutch shots to keep us within reach.

He wasn't even in the game, when they made difference. He had good few minutes in Q2 and that's all. Why do you think Kidd play without him till last 3 minutes off the game?

It's pretty impossible, maybe Turner because he is closed with Sabonis at Indiana but Carlisle never wants KP again.

Turner for Brunson and filler could work.

Markaneen just signed. No way.

We need to be aggressive at the TDL... Luckly JJ redick is off the table this year :lol:

I’ve said this in a couple other posts but I think the Mavs should go after Jonas Valanciunas. If they’re adamant about playing KP at the 4 then they need someone with girth at the 5. He would immediately solve their rebounding problem (Luka should not be only one getting 10 boards a game). He also provides interior defense. On top of all that he’s on a $14M expiring contract.

I like Val but if we somehow are able to trade for him, KP has to go out or elsewhere for it to work. It would be a nightmare defensively with both on the court at the same time and they would likely not be able to play together in closing lineups.

I would be highly interested in a Jonas + filler for KP trade if it ever presented itself though.

I prefer Turner...thought he is a mediocre rebounder.

I think Porzingis is better than Jonas. So if that trade were to happen, I think New Orleans needs to include something to make it fair... like Tre Murphy, who can be used as a 3&D SF here.

Agreed, if the Mavs actually have a choice between trading for the two, Turner makes more sense since he can spread the floor better on offense. Besides, there are others who can help with rebounding... Kleber, DFS, Luka... or any others the Mavs target (like Lauri, Reddish, etc).

Obviously Turner is the better player and a better fit however realistically how attainable is he. Valanciunas is much more attainable (realistically) in my opinion.

Turner and the Pacers have started the season with the wrong foot, his value is tanking, but KP is giving them a good run for their value tanking money

Valanciunas has a good contract while KP has one of the worst in the Nba. The mavs are the one they need to attach picks to make it happen

TBH, I just watched the full Raptors v Pacers game. Turner seems to be hobbling a little more than before. It's always bothered me, the way he runs... or hobbles. So now I'm not so sure if I want to trade KP for him.

Btw, since I just watched the Raptors and it's fresh in my memory... Cuban, Donnie, Rick and Voulgaris shouldn't have passed on Achiuwa (20th) to take Josh Green (18th). Achiuwa is too small to play Center full-time... but he would have been a good fit at PF here next to KP or even Kleber. And let's not even talk about Jaden McDaniels (28th), who would have been an even better fit with the roster.

We need to make moves, the team doesn't inspire confidence.
Let's flip FRP, our role players have v limited value - everyone mocked MIL for the Jrue trade but they amortised the investment by winning the title.

They also had a bunch of 1sts to trade for him and get rid of bledsoe. They payed 3 1sts right? Mavs got 1 atm, that some people here want to trade away for scrubs. Next year we will be at 2 1sts to trade, year after, if knicks get the 23 1st, we will have 3. Its extrememly shortsighted to trade away that 1st we got atm

Cuban went cheap after 2011 and wasted 4years of Luka Doncic. Fact.

You realize the front off this year is completely different outside of the owner right? Or did you miss when they fired Nelson, Carlisle, and Vegas Bob?

The current regime has only had 1 off season to work with and had to do it with little to no assets. Nico wasn’t here in 2012 or any other time when Dirk was still playing. Believe it or not it takes time to build a contending team. We know the previous regime sucked at putting a team together but we really haven’t seen what Nico can do when he actually has assets to work with.
