Ok I feel that the Pacers must win tonight and that they have a better roster than the Raptors especially since there stud PF Siakam is still out.

I really hate seeing Wanamaker getting run in this lineup (Turner, Oshae, Justin, Brogdon, Wanamaker) when playing a long and lean Toronto team instead of someone like Jackson. I know, we’d be short on ball handlers, but I’d rather deal and match some athleticism.

Agree. Toronto is challenging every dribble and playing the passing lanes. Offense opportunities by defense for them keeping Pacers from offensive opportunities.

TJ being a non threat from beyond the arc isn't helping

But all these turnovers and offensive rebounds given up is what's killing them

Brogdon left in the 2nd half with a left hamstring. Isaiah Jackson left late with what looked to be a knee injury. He knocked hard with Sabonis and had trouble putting weight on it.

This team’s in trouble. They’re lacking enough talent man #1-15 to put together enough of an effort to win night in night out.
I blame Pritchard/Carlisle for wanting to run it back with players already here and see what they have. It felt like a cop out to not blow up this team to rebuild keeping the best pieces and rebuild around them. Injuries have made players valuations plummet in at least 3 cases(Lamb, LeVert, Warren).

I feel like the coaching staff is trying to figure out how they should coach this team as they weren’t all Carlisle coaches in Dallas.

In the positive column I think they did well in the draft, but the rookies are gonna need this season to grow and understand how to play the NBA style of basketball.

Too early to condemn this coaching staff to the level of incapable of developing winners here.

My hope is that Lamb hits enough shots for another team to want his no defense style.

OKC rebuilding beats Lakers.

Wizards rebuilding post Westbrook beat Celtics who are searching for the right players to fit around Brown and Tatum.

Continuously rebuilding Timberwolves beat Champion Bucks tonight.

Rebuilding Raptors beat Pacers. SMDH :banghead:  :banghead:

I did the same. This was nothing short of pathetic. From the coaches to the players, just pathetic.

It appeared their length just freaked us out. Domas taking 4 shots. Delano Banton a 6’8” pg who looks like he can play second round pick. I’ve thought Raps were a team that needs a 5. Maybe not. They look like a team that will be playing all 6’9” guys soon. If they teach Barns and Banton to shoot with Siakum and OG look out.

Us not so much. Just a bunch of random pieces that don’t fit particularly well.

Lamb was open a few times and they didn't look for him

There was one sequence, I think at the end of the first half, another Pacer (Brogdon maybe? Can't remember) had the ball and Lamb was wide open waving his arms but didn't get noticed

I think Brogdon is part of the problem

Despite Domas being a good play maker, I wish Pacers had a better facilitator in the backcourt

I think it's why the team has leaned so heavily on TJ, despite his obvious flaws. But TJ isn't a solution, he's not meant for major minutes

At least Duarte looks like a keeper so far. They need to find the other guard to partner with him

not sure if Brogdon is going to miss some time, but either way I think we're going to see some Duarte/LeVert minutes.

also, I think Duarte would benefit from fewer minutes. I just don't think his legs are ready for the big jump in minutes from one 40 minute game a week to three 48 minute games 9two went 53). and opponents have NBA game film on him now and are defending him better.

I’m going to predict 6 wins 12 losses in the next 18 games unless something drastically changes. We all know the record should be 3-2, 2-3 at worst and not 1-4. However the Toronto game is disturbing. Brooklyn next and while I think they can hang because Nets aren’t playing well yet, I just think Nets talent will win out.
2 games in Oct. and 16 games in November.

I try not to be negative although I find it hard to be positive about losing ugly and giving wins away. We all know the record should be
The inability so far for this team to execute the offense is troubling.

I like when Malcolm takes open 3’s. I like when he sees that he can take his man to the rim for a score. However, too many times he drives and commits to a bad shot, bad decision, or jumps in air forcing an unwanted turnover and an offense opportunity wasted. He’s not a creator like Ball, Paul, Mitchell etc. I wonder if he thinks he is ?

I like McConnell’s hustle and urgency although he’s not the answer to start. An adequate roll player.

I like that Lamb can stroke some 3’s, but too often he forces shots creating poor shot selection and bad misses. He also looks disconnected or lost at times. I can’t stand his after getting beat swipe fouls creating and 1’s.

Domas has been great until the coaches couldn’t figure out how to attack the Raptors defense.

Duarte has been impressive for a rookie and has a lot to learn, but at least doesn’t look lost. He’s being rushed into service a bit but he’s going to get better from this experience.

Myles I just can’t figure out. Sometimes he looks energetic and taking advantage of the defense with nice scoring moves. Other times it’s like he’s disconnected. His foul trouble has to stop or he’s not gonna get enough minutes to make a difference on the offense end.

Brissett is evolving into a roll player and a decent second unit player.

Goga needs minutes period. If they don’t give him nightly minutes they’re not gonna see that he can make a difference as he did when given the opportunity recently. I’m still a fan of believing he will develop his game.

Holiday is hard for me to read. I see him some nights 1-8. Some nights stroking those 3’s. Defense seems to be there.

Craig I think needs more time to mesh with the team and more minutes to see what he can contribute to this team.

Wanamaker seemed to play more in control this last game but not sure what he brings to help us win.

Isiah Jackson is energy. I love his hustle and hops. Of course his energy and game is so raw that he needs nightly minutes to get used to the NBA ropes to cut down on small mistakes.

I don’t see anyone else ever playing unless more injuries occur. Carlisle has too tight of rotation and it’s only gonna get worse when LeVert and Warren come back.

it could get better then. let's hope LeVert and Warren get 30 minutes each and the 8 or 9 guys who are playing now continue to play.
