Ayton: 21 points, 21 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block.
Holmes: 12 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists. 1 block.
Ayton is not an elite big, but Holmes is no where at his level.
Ayton averaged 16/12 in the playoffs last year. The majority of people have him at or near the top 5 center mark. The only guys hands down better than him are Jokic, Embid, Gobert, and KAT. He also did a ton of his damage against Len, and the suns forcing Holmes outside switching a smaller player onto him.
So again, there isn't some magical stash of big men we can go out and get. I'm genuinely curious as to who you think is attainable that solves this big man issue. In the real world Holmes is an above average center, he doesn't do great against huge centers, but the league has moved away from those guys so I really don't see the issue.
