I know its early and dont want to be negative Nancy over here, BUTTTT man has he laid a turd on the offensive end so far. A 4.25 PER.. EEK that is God awful. I am giving him some time to figure it out and not calling him a bust, I just really hope he stops shooting those floaters that look awkward and do not go in.

Is it me or does anyone else notice that he looks like he doesnt want to be on the floor at times. Very lethargic at times.

I don’t think he doesn’t want to be on the floor. It is he is in his own head and really negative after a few mistakes. His time will come.

People complaining about Suggs must not follow the career arcs of 90% of the players in the nba.

I expect nothing from rookies unless they are the second coming of Luka Doncic.

Suggs reminds me of former raptor Alvin Williams. Basically a very good defender with an ok offensive game

That is fair. That would be his floor. His ceiling I believe would be a Jrue Holiday type player.

First off, we really can't predict the future. Anyone says they can say who will be great in this draft class after 3-5 games into the season.. well ask them for the lotto numbers as well cuz I am in need of cash. lol With that said, you are right, temper expectations. That goes for both teams. MCW is a great example of a rookie coming hot out of the gates and just leveling off way downward. Same as my example of 3rd year AG where we thought he is finally taking the next step to stardom after a whopping 10games or so.

Secondly, we really are living RENT-FREE in most Rap fans/posters. I mean seriously? I dunno how old you guys are but wishing downfall on kids just to feel good or justify yourself on your team's pick a few months ago? L-O-L and W-O-W. I mean outside of passing interest to the other highly-touted rookies being advertised in this batch, I don't think any magic poster is "stalking" Barnes or having interest on how/who/what he will be now and in the future.

Just because they have similar skin tone doesn’t mean they’ll be the same player. Besides, Suggs is more athletic and quicker than George Hill.

I believe that Scottie Barnes has a higher celling than Jalen Suggs. His superior physical tools to go along with his all around skill set are quite impressive. If his jump shot comes around I feel as though he has All-Star games in his future. I was never very high on Suggs, but if I was a Magic fan I certainly would not be concerned at this juncture. There have been plenty of great guards that have had rough starts to their careers. He looks the part defensively and eventually shots will begin to fall. I just doubt he will become a franchise player or anything like that. If he become a Jrue Holiday type of player then there is nothing to complain about imo.

Suggs may very well not be a franchise changer but just having a solid player that can affect winning is all I really care about. Way too early to tell what we have in these guys though. At least they are things that are fixable. People can shoot better and improve their turnovers. His handles are loose but aren't bad as in like he can't dribble.

MCW had more than a fast start...he was Rookie of the Year

TBF, majority of us aren't worried at all. True, we are just pleasantly surprised that our 8th pick is outplaying our 5th pick. Especially since the SL and pre-season it was Suggs that was way more advanced than Franz. However, we all know it's a developmental/tanking year and "high-end" rookie PG like Suggs don't come out of the gates blazing unless they are LBJ/Luka. We are already more than happy with his defense against the other guards and we saw his form and range looks good, it just doesn't go in yet.

It's the Raps trolls coming here that make it seems we are ready to burn the house down.
