The 96 Knick team was probably the biggest threat to the Bulls in that season. If those suspensions against Miami never happened, we would've taken down Chicago. But David Stern practically gifted Chicago a easy sweep against Miami.

This Knick team does give me 96 vibes though

Word.

Miami limped into Chicago after playing the bully ball Knicks for ECF ECFs. Mike and them waxed the Alonzo, Tim Hardaway, Dan Majerle and the dirty P.J. Brown.

NBA SUSPENDS FIVE KNICKS, ONE HEAT PLAYER
By J.A. Ad and

May 16, 1997

"New York center Patrick Ewing; guards Allan Houston, Charlie Ward and John Starks; and forward Larry Johnson each received a one-game suspension. Miami forward P.J. Brown got a two-game suspension."

They simped into Chicago after getting a free ticket by the refs and the league. They had zero right to be there...1 game from elimination by us. We got penalized for a fight PJ Brown started ..Eff Stu Jackson(traitor) for that nonsense.

Expect no mercy from the Knicks, but expect Randle to own PatWill and Kemba to continue where he left off vs. Philly.

Wasnt the team in the vid the 96'/97' that got tossed by the refs vs Miami?

Yup 96-97 team. I just refer to them as the 96 team

In hindsight, Phil Jackson stole Rose from Chicago when he traded for him during Rose’ first stint here. All it took was Jose Calderon, Jerian Grant, and Robin Lopez for Rose, Justin Holiday, and a 2017 second-round draft pick lol

We should’ve never let go Rose the first time

What are the Bulls ranked defensively with all this expert talk on nba tv about their improved defense. #2 in opp ppg but 9th in fg% while Knicks at #3 behind Miami and Atlanta.

Opponent PPG got me rolling because they faced

Pistons 88
Pistons 82
Grizzlies 105
Pelicans 112
Raptors 108

Hmmmmm I wonder what skewed those numbers. Give me a break.

Chicagoans eat tavern style.

It’s the same philosophy for pizza, as the city continues to battle the nationally spread misnomer that deep-dish pizza is the only pie in town. The truth is tavern-style pizza, the city’s thin and square-cut pizza, is consumed more regularly by locals compared to deep dish which is a delicious dish aimed at tourists.

Always get it cut in squares. The middle slices are the best.
