Re: Options to fix the PF hole
Gotta say, prior to getting hurt last night, I was liking most of what I was seeing from PW. He was driving to the basket, slashing a bit more, and fighting through screens. A couple of rotations were missed but he was at least going for the boards.
I do think we need a good backup solution but if PW can play like he did last night before the dunk, then I think he's filling the hole.

I’m just not understanding why Donovan won’t give Bradley a chance? He was the first big we signed specifically so he could back up Vooch and last night was the first time he played in regular season and only because Pat got hurt. If he doesn’t fit what they want from the C position, what did you sign him for? We clearly need his size, Alize has been a net negative in every game so far, we’re 29th in rebound % and he decides to run Pat there who can’t set a screen or rebound. His obsession with small ball has to stop man.

Re: Options to fix the PF hole
The 1st question has to be, what about the guys they have on the roster?
Is Simonovic just a suit and tie on a folding chair?
Is Derrick Jones jr a player like he was touted to be or should he be looking for rental properties in some other city?
Why did they give Tyler Cook a uniform if he doesn't get to show it off?
Simonovic lacks experience but has the size. Cook is a PF with some size and experience. Jones is a veteran supposedly has a wide wingspan for 6-6.
The 2nd question should be. Should they be moved to get someone maybe more expensive who can actually play?
That could be some of the names mentioned, at least they have the size or bulk to be a 4. I look at Juan Hernangomez in BOS no playing much.
the 3rd and least likely option is somebody out there not on a roster, but if 30 teams passed him over for the minimum how much help could he be?

Harry Giles is sitting there waiting to prove himself. He has pedigree. Injuries obviously derailed his career, but I wouldn't mind swinging the bat and trying to hit a home run on a young FA that wouldn't be expensive.

It is a couple of things it could be. He is maybe still injured a bit and not 100%. He is not in game shape. He has not learned the offense or defense yet because he hasn't had enough reps. He is dogging it in practice. He is being outplayed in practice. All are viable, I think maybe not knowing the system and getting back into game shape are the two biggest reasons though, and those are easily improved with in time. I imagine he will slowly but surely see the floor more and more.
I also think that Billy is trying to build a culture of really active defenders. You do that by playing the guys who are doing what you want, and the next guy up has to fall in line to take the other guys spot. That is basically what Miami does. We are just in the early stages of the process.

Re: Options to fix the PF hole
The Bulls needs to swap Derrick Jones Jr. or Coby White for Derrick Favors. Doesn't solve PF but it allows us to always have a big on the floor.

Yeah, this strikes me as the first thing they should try. He's a decent fit alongside Vuc.
Then I'd try DJJ whenever they find the key to the doghouse he's locked up in. That dude is a pogo stick.

A player that could help us and no one even talks about because of a small mistake is Meyers Leonard. Bulls should step up and give this guy a chance already.

100%.
We have such a problem inside, it’s actually kind of a bad look we went into the season like this

Re: Options to fix the PF hole
I’m not sold on PW at all. And I recognize that he’s only 20, but he doesn’t have that creator in him. He’s slow footed, lacks some lateral quickness and is not athletic enough to be an undersized 4. I think we should consider moving him while his value is still high. He’s not going to get the touches on this team, his numbers will look bad

Honestly... I'm not against this. If the Reinsdorfs can have a conversation with him and feel comfortable that Leonard has learned and grown from his mistake, then I think he should have a shot. He's still a NBA caliber player. Hopefully he has eliminated that word (and other slurs towards any religious/ethnic people) from his speech.

He's not someone who could play alongside Vuc, IMO. Behind him, sure, he'd be an upgrade, although, I liked the little I saw of Bradley last night, and want him to get a real chance.

Please don't, the offense has already been struggling.

Chris Boucher seems buried on Toronto. Wonder if they would deal him and for what

Can we bring Harry Giles in for a look? He’s only 23 and would fill a need for sure.
Or do we try to trade for Bol Bol?

For all his faults, Bagley is a huge upgrade over Williams.

Re: Options to fix the PF hole
So with Pat supposedly out for the season, I'm glad that AKME get a bunch of similarly sized dudes. Maybe this is what it took for DJJ to find his way out on to the court?
I'm still rooting for Jevonte or Alize to start. I think either will help.
