He’s talking about wings but he was nothing like a wing back then. He was basically a 6’4 C in college next to Aldridge’s skinny butt and had no shot or floor game whatsoever, the way he changed and developed his game was awesome.

A lot of overanalyzing of PJ's career choices.
A good player, teammate, hard worker and NBA champion. So it worked out for us and for him.

OK, not a "perfect" situation, but a great situation. This was from a piece in the Athletic a few months ago. While he was watching Paul find success in Phoenix and Harden join a super team in Brooklyn, Tucker was marooned in Houston with one of the league’s worst teams.
“I was low,” Tucker said. “It was low. I did not enjoy that. I gave up so much. Like players put that together, guys getting together, talking, and I left a great situation I was in Toronto, other situations I had, other deals, other offers. I left a lot on the table to be a part of that, so in the end, to be last and be there, to have to deal with what I dealt with them leaving as well, that was, I don’t know if it was the lowest (point in my career), but it was low. It wasn’t good.”
Now it just looks like he was talking out of both sides of his mouth when it suited him. First he tells Dudley that it's hard to play in Canada when he's in a good situation in Houston, but when things go bad over there, suddenly Toronto was a great situation and apparently living in Canada isn't so tough.
Exactly.
And he really did have a great situation here. Who knows if Tucker would have given us that toughness to help our team in the 2018 playoffs get over that hump when we were the 1st seed in the East.
Would've been: Lowry, Derozan, Tucker, Ibaka, JV and the bench would be OG, Norm, Fred, Siakam, Powell, Miles.

Tucker doesn’t solve the DeFrozan problem.

He's very high on my athletes most likely to go broke after retirement list.

PJ’s cool. I don’t blame him for leaving. And he can always sell the shoes.

Don't understand the obsession with PJ tucker. Out of college he was a 6'3 PF. 2nd stint nothing changed. It's like when KO played Michael Curry at C/PF because of defense.
He's extremely overrated and he was specifically brought by Masai to be that Lebron stopper. Failed miserably. Its like playing 4 on 5 basketball when he is on the court.
Im surprised he has a ring. Very very surprised.

You keep a list of athletes you think will go broke? Get a better hobby bud, that's weird.

I year or two after that Jared Dudley on twitter talked about how difficult it is for Americans to play in Canada and that he got this information from PJ , who let him know that was the reason he left. So it's weird that a guy would play 4 years all throughout Europe but couldn't handle Canada if America was an option. Makes sense I guess but still.
Honestly if after taxes the money was similar and i had to choose between playing with lowry/dd or harden/cp3 i would have chose the latter also. It seriously looked like we were never going to get over the lebron hump and the team was going to inevitably get blown up

I get it, the dude rides his emotions, when paul and harden recruited him skys were blue, sure ill take a paycut. when they left him by himself, skys were gray, i guess the grass was actually green in toronto and couldn't see it.
