It's tough because we are so stocked at every position on paper, but PF is definitely like when we were trotting out Keith Bogans at SG or Ronald Dupree/Linton Johnson at SF.

The movie fan in me wishes Joakim Noah did lace up in Unforgiven style, but deep down I know a 36 year old dude couldn't keep up to any efficient degree in the NBA in 2021/2022. Is there any people we could grab from Europe?

I mean, could we wrassle away Taj Gibson from the Knicks?

If you even tried id assume that Thibs would go to prison for murder...

On a serious note sucks for Pat.

I will admit my hype train was coming to a halt for Pat but I did think he could develop into a Marvin Williams type solid contributor role in the future and would of course been happy to be proven wrong.

I pray that this doesn't effect him physically or mentally in the years to come, he really seems like a good kid.

As for where the Bulls go from here obviously Javonte... DJJ... I'd imagine DeMar plays more of the 4 too but with none of these being ideal we now will really get to see how creative AK can be.

Because he needs to be.

I was already getting tired of "super-small" ball. As much as it sucks that Pat is out for the year....in 4 1/2 games, he was the 2nd worst rebounder on team...only ahead of Caruso. The only other people with less rebounds per 36M/100P/TRB% were DJJ and Matt Thomas. Both who have played a grand total of 2 minutes each the entire season.

Tony Bradley has played a total of 8 minutes this year, and has 4 total rebounds (3 offensive).

Pat Williams had played a total of 125 minutes this year and had 11 total rebounds with just one offensive board.

Bulls are LAST in the league in total rebounds per game, and 29th in the league in total rebounds per 100 possessions.

We are the worst team in the league on the offensive boards.

I'm going to re-suggest Jordan Bell. He checks a lot of boxes for what we need and how we want to play on the defensive end.

Being an FA im sure he would be receptive to our cash considerations.

Trade c. White for a defensive big. We don't need a 6th man

These clips are several years old now, but assuming he hasn't lost this ability it's easy to see how he'd give us a boost. Bell brings switchability on defense, is an athletic lob threat, and would be our best shot-blocker. Although he's not big, he's able to play the small ball 5 just fine. He's also a pretty solid passer.

Haven't read through the thread but has DeMar been mentioned yet? He spent 70% of his playing time at PF for us last season. May be a stop-gap option.

He's been stealing some minutes there, but I think we're all on the same page that we're just too small. We don't really even have the option to play bigger right now, because we don't have a true PF on the roster.

One more name: Harry Giles. I've always been quietly impressed with him in the rare instances he gets PT. I get a young Jermaine O'Neal vibe out of him.

Lots of options here. Should be no delay. AKME should be on the phone tonight making calls.

Or do we try to trade for Bol Bol?

Giles is strictly a 5, don't see how he would help us at the 4. Bol Bol is a major project and we need someone who can help us now, so unlikely on that one.

We need a backup 5 too. The idea is to just grab the talent you can. I'd give both of them a serious look. We're still building our core. Not looking for the piece that puts us over the top right now.

He seems kind of redundant to me with Alize and looks like more of a 5. I'd rather try to bring in a 4 who can shoot and defend the perimeter, but as someone else said our options are limited and we can't be picky.

Actually we do. Our bench lacks scoring, and Coby could remedy that. Having said that, I do think Coby's days with the Bulls are likely numbered and wouldn't be surprised if we traded him at the deadline or in the offseason.

Yeah, I don't know if that guy exists. To me, the biggest flaw with this roster is that it's too modern. We don't even have the option to go bigger if we wanted to at the 4 spot. Bell is quick enough to defend modern 4's. Giles isn't as quick-footed, but he's skilled offensively and would bring size.

Kyle Anderson? Maxi Kleber?

Kleber would fit perfect. Wonder what it would take to get him from Dallas?

Right now I would waive Matt Thomas and sign Mike Scott. He's a tough minded vet that can shoot and won't hurt the team on defense.

Bell dropped out of the league because he got into shouting matches with the coaching staff during games, stole from hotels, then tried to blame the coaches for the items, and when confronted he blamed Klay Thompson.

He was basically a poor human being.

Yes we do. Our bench is terrible outside of Caruso.

Just recall Simonovic as insurance/development and start Alize. Either that or bring in someone legit big like Cousins on a minimum deal.
