Banton is already better than Delon Wright ever was and we had great hopes for him for a long time. He' going to be a dominant back up PG. No doubt about it.

I don't get why you keep reminding everyone Banton is from Rexdale. Is it impressive that an NBA caliber player came out of a relatively poorer neighborhood? Is it that different from an NBA caliber player came out of a relatively richer neighborhood such as Thornhill (Andrew Wiggins) or Mississauga (RJ Barrett)

I don't get why you think Delano grew up in a poorer neighbourhood just because he is from Rexdale. This house is in Rexdale. Maybe he lived in something like this?

Also, it's okay for hometown fans to feel good about their hometown players. Wtf

Kind of surprised he's only on a 2 year deal, Thought we would have offered at least 3, with that being a team option.

Love the Dalano Fred combo. I believe it is what snapped Fred out of the funk he was in early.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Looked like Senior was playing off the ball with Dalano in with him. It worked.

that's been the big change the last 2 games. nurse is giving delano rope and saving franchise freddy for 4th quarter heroics.

If Dalano ever gets down some resemblance of a jumper...holy crap.

per franchise freddy "if he can hit the 3, he's going to be a problem."

that 3 will catapult him to difference maker as a starter.

freddie, banton, scottie, siakam, og lineup? be still my beating heart.

I have no idea how he lasted until the 46th pick. Even in pre-season as I was watching him and his combination of skill and size, I thought there has to be a team that would take a chance on a guy like that in the late first round.

Also, an interesting tidbit that may or may not be apparent - Dalano was drafted with the pick we got for Terence Davis. I think this worked out alright.

That is almost too much to ask for.. though he made a few last game. Still even when Freddy had the ball, I think they couldn’t totally sag off Dalano completely cause if the ball was swung to him quickly, he’d be at the rim in a second. Either that or we’re benefiting from teams not knowing yet…

Teams in the NBA are good at scouting. Only a matter of time.

The dude literally has the number 45 on his back to represent the bus route he took.

He's reping Rexdale.

I spent the first 12 years of my life in Rexdale. It's awesome that the first Canadian drafted by the Raptors is from there.

Mississauga isn't a neighbourhood.

23 minutes in crunch time for a mid 2nd round pick in his 6th NBA game is rare. Going to be a good one.

It was evident in Summer League he had some game but I never could've imagined he'd be in the rotation this season. Definitely has surprised me. He's a very intriguing prospect.
