I was trying to work out how this happened and noticed that, shockingly, Brogs was injured.

Probably could’ve happened in the offseason. I pitched it just about every day. Cats out of the bag now.

Did Kidd already brake Luca?

This whole Mavs team is so incredibly uninspiring. Atrocious coaching choice, replacing one of the best coaches in the world with a terrible coach. Year 4 of Luka and the best creator they put next to him is Brunson off the bench. His #2 is a totally unreliable (both in performance/ability and health) non-star on an albatross contract.

The Cavs man. Rubio is bringing Love back to life, Mobley is **** incredible. They can sort out the fit next season with the bigs but they are our rivals going forward.

Barring injuries peak Mobley will be a Garnett level player IMO

His feel and IQ defensively is insane for a 19 year old rookie, and he’s super talented physically too. Absolutely love that he’s a natural passer and has real shooting potential. He checks off basically every box

Easily my new favorite prospect/young talent in the league right now

Agreed but looking around the league broadly, the young talent is phenomenal. There are almost no teams that are duds and it's becoming more difficult to win every year

****, man. For context here, Ernie has an adopted son - from a refugee camp - with a rare form of muscular dystrophy that required around-the-clock assistance. There was a E60 episode about them many years ago. Dude is a next-level human being.

There were a lot of people on draft twitter that didn’t really get the allure of Mobley and Barnes as draft prospects and that will always confuse me. They both passed the eye test and the metrics test with flying colors in college.

Think Covid dimmed a lot of focus on college BB, and so a lot of guys never got the coverage they’d get normally. And this is looking like an insanely impactful draft class after a few years of meh.

Mobley is absolutely legit - love him. His biggest issue is that I am entirely incapable of calling him anything other than Eric.

People loved Mobley in the pre-draft process though. I don't think anyone was sleeping on him, it's just that Cade and Jalen Green could both be that special. Masai might be the best GM in the league, but his achilles heel has always been this relentless pursuit of finding his own Giannis. Most times it's actually resulted in a good player (Siakam, OG, Boucher) rather than a complete bust (Bebe, Bruno), but I still think he punted on the better player in Suggs. He does have a bit of the Hammond tendency to fall in love with the measurables.

Pacers 1-6, Brogdan hurt again, only 10k attendance on a Saturday night. I can see them making some moves.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Seems I was wrong on Mobley. It's not like I said he'd suck but I was skeptical to be that high of a pick. Basically I wasn't sure he'd be more than a catch/dunk big and if that's the ceiling is he worth that high a pick (granted that's a pretty good floor though if you're confident he's at least that). I didn't see the expanded/shooting type game when I watched in college to be a 'star' type. But so far yea it seems there is much more there.

Long overdo moves. Can't believe they've never put Sabonis on the market. Find a team that falls for the counting stat line while ignoring impact stats, and cash in.

Sixers board Simmons trade thread is talking more about Spurs trades in the wake of the Bucks loss:

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2131584&start=240

It appears to be one of their least favorite options still, though some give the caveat that unprotected firsts could sway them.

I’m not clear on whether Pop would want to kill Baby Ben or if he sees an opportunity to resuscitate his potential (by compelling him to improve for the first time in his NBA life) and make the swan song of his coaching career more interesting.

Scottie Barnes has looked legit so far. Suggs yet to find his groove. Masai could be right on this one

So KD threw a ball into the stands and elbowed a guy in the face in back to back games. Wonder if random coincidence, frustration or just not giving a **** in the regular season?
