any update on Kuminga? Last I read he was 3 games out and I think that was 3 games ago. Not expecting to see him get much run but I would like to see how he looks on the floor in a real game.

Yup that 3 game window just ended, and the Warriors said they would have an update today. Hopefully that update is that he's been fine in full practice for a week and active for the next game.

Kerr said today that Kuminga might be cleared for the Saturday game against OKC. Even if available, court/time is a maybe.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

He’s listed as probable.

Lee and JTA questionable.

Seems like bad timing to send Moody down to SC if his biggest minutes blocker may be out for a game or two.

Moody will be back for the OKC game.

Love to see more Moody but what Warriors really need is some size and athleticism. Hoping to see more and more Kuminga going forward.

I'm crossing my fingers with regard to Kuminga. The way Poole is playing, Kuminga has a great opportunity to steal some minutes. Curry, Lee, Draymond, Wiggins/Kuminga and either Looney or Bjelica would make for an interesting starting five - until Klay returns.

You have to give JK and EM defined roles, like sit out in the corner and take 3s if left open, attack closeouts from the corners.

Then defend on the other end, help rebound.

You can't give them all kinds of freedom like Wiseman was given to shoot 3s or trying to dribble coast to coast.

I agree with that, I think the freedom Wiseman was afforded really messed up his progress. He had some early shooting success but that led to him going to it a little too often instead of working inside, or giving the ball up and resetting when he didn't have anything good. Whatever the Warriors need from Wiseman, 19 foot jumpers should be really low on the list, to the point of being banned even if he's wide open. Dunk, rebound, patrol the paint without getting caught up in the air on pump fakes, and stay out of the way of your own players, that's it.

Yeah, I agree as well, and was screaming at my television watching Kuminga stand 25 feet from the hoop on every possession, ultimately jacking up 3 3-pointers. Particularly because he was the tallest Warrior on the court at that point.

Granted, he's been out of practices for the past 10 days or so. But if in the practices that he was in, he was given that option to just stand out at the 3-point line and freelance, I see that as a big mistake. IMO, he needs to be working as a screener and cutter, and down on the block, rather than as a ballhandler and shooter. In just that 5 minutes or so of time, I was really disappointed in what I saw.

Who will be the better NBA player, Kuminga or Josh Giddey?

I think Kuminga. But it's really going to be all about how close to his ceiling he gets.

I'd take Kuminga because he probably needs less to go right to be better. But Giddey easily has the much higher floor, because he can be an effective passer/rebounder right now. But his defense and jumpshot are highly suspect

Giddey is actually younger than Kuminga. Very slightly younger. Giddey is definitely a better basketball player right now. Again, I'm a big fan of what I'll call the "Australian school" of basketball.

Well there are 3 solid days of practice between games, so let’s see what happens. Of course, they probably won’t play him…

Until you give Kuminga Giddey minutes and usage, we wont know.

Giddey couldn't have landed in a better situation.

OKC has like 20 first round picks over the next 5 years. Giddey's going to be on a young team for a while. I wonder if they will build a team or try to trade for stars with all those assets.

Giddey wasn't even on the board when we drafted Kuminga so who cares. It's Franz that you should be comparing Kuminga against.
