5-1 for the first time 2005-2006. Wes Jr. was an assistant on Eddie Jordan's staff back then.

Hard to say with a lot of meh games, but I pick Kuz. He quietly played within himself tonight. Had he would made a few more threes and FTs, this is easier.

I can’t give it to Beal with his boneheaded dribbling into triple teams.

I was tempted to give to Trez again, but we showed we could do it without.

Kuzma. His defense and effort level were great. Hit that clutch 3.

We only allowed 112 point going into double OT, that would have been a barn burned in past years.

I'll give it to Kuzma. He's really stepped up on the boards; and he had a nice spurt of aggression that carried us for a few possessions during the 2nd(?) quarter.

I thought Gafford's absence would hurt us on the glass, especially with Kanter back, but Kuz has played much bigger than I thought he would.

I'm not enamored with Kuz's offensive game (too many fadeaways). But his rebounding and defense have really been shockingly good. I think people that had so-so games or bad ones came up with big plays like KCP at the end or Deni with the big block that counted.

Neto? Trying to play hurt and it shows
Beal? Took a million shots and hit a few big ones. Several bad TOs, but his 3-point shot is looking a bit better.
Spencer? Not a great game, missed the potentially-game winning FT. But still love that guy taking the ball to the basket and doesn't mind taking the big shot.
KCP? Will have good and bad offensive games. Tries on D. Seems to have the champ. pedigree like Kuz and Harrell.
Trez? Nowhere without him.
Bertans? Ugh, at least he's trying on D.
Deni? At least he's trying on O, but has to be stronger with the ball in his hands.
Holiday? Like his shot and his quickness.
Kispert? Will be out of the rotation whenever Rui comes back. Teams attack him right away on D.

Deni and Kuz played really well together and I think Unseld took notice. That has a potential to be a dynamic forward defensive combo.

Kuz by default. Funny that few guys played well yet somehow we still won.

Once again Beal missed more shots than anyone else attempted. Wes needs to lay down the law with him.

This is actually hard one for me. I cant give it to Beal because of hero ball, even though he made some clutch plays. Same with Din, he did the hero ball thing, although to a lesser extent, and he did do some clutch things. Kuz, had to play C for a while and did a good job, given that gives up a lot in terms of weight. I'm going to give it to Kuz because he didnt do the hero ball thing.

This. Some pundits were wondering where the rebounding would be coming from without Westbrook…well these two gents are very solid on the boards! Two truly 6’ 9” forwards who are also blocking shots at a good rate.

And yes Kuzma is the the player of the game for me too.

Kuzma is actually averaging 11.8 rebounds per game.

I'm tempted to give it to Aaron Holiday!

Or... think about Trez's 44-foot 3-pointer with zero point something seconds on the clock at the end of the first half. No win w/o that.

Then again, given a tie in regulation, no win w/o every single made shot or free throw....

I don't know who to vote for. But... what a terrific, gutty, hard-working win.
