Please stop...he's turning out to be a nice rotation piece but ya'll hyping him up like he's some all-star in the making lol this is an example of fans overhyping their players.
You've been hating on the dude from the get go I've noticed. What's up with that bruv?

I've jammed quite a few fingers in my lifetime by reaching and deflecting passes and it always hurts like a b.
Usually ice + rest does the trick and I'm sure my bones are no where as dense as Scottie da beast.
If he has to miss a game then so be it. Some rest may be good for the kid since he's averaging 35minutes with an average of a day between games.

Curious, if the Cavs offered Mobley for Barnes, would you do it?

No. Love Mobley and think he’s gonna be great. But I prefer a guy like Barnes cause he do basically do everything and is the true image of positionless basketball. Also love the locker room intangibles and energy he brings
I know some would do it, but I personally would not

I think we may build the team in a different way.
Mobley will need ball handlers with passing around him, so we may keep Lowry. Our whole off-season could be different.
Regardless, there is no point in swapping Barnes and Mobley.

I think Mobley and Barnes will be the two best players from this draft class. Mobley is an absolute stud. However, I do think if Scottie reaches his ceiling he can have a larger impact on the game than Mobley can.

This is not true. I posted the scouting report in the Draft Thread, he isn't a big at all.
He had a straight line drive, and he can handle the ball in transition.

Oh well whether or not he's a big or a wing r guard was not really my point of emphasis. Sorry for not making that clear.

Let's playin for 9th!

We should just let him be Magic LeBron and feed him the ball every possession.

In case noone posted it yet, Blake's 8 minute breakdown of Barnes' success so far is really good.
Blake is so substance-driven. Toronto sports media needs this guy:

Re: Official Scottie Barnes Thread
He'll have a lot of success in the post passing the ball, shooting and attacking. Won't be long until there will be some plays where he gets the option to attack or someone like GTJr cuts to the basket. Could work great with Siakam I think.
What I did notice is while he is a nice and fun dude off the court, he takes winning more seriously than almost anyone else on the team. You would think 7 games into your NBA career you are happy to be there and gain experience but doesn't seem to be the case with Barnes. I thought he would have got a tech the one time he was really mad when he blocked a shot and it was a goaltending by the refs. Also are any other rookies complaining with the refs? Also which rookie likes the pressure of taking 2 deciding free throws? This is elite mentality.

Scottie is the rare kind of player where we can be excited when he eventually has bad games, because with his mentality, he's going to come back the next game even better.
The stuff he's doing already, the adjustments he's making...We Raptors fans are certainly very fortunate to get to watch this dude develop up close - it's gonna be a ride!

Hell no. But I ain't ever been really big on Zion. Great player. Not sure he plays winning basketball.
