Would like to see Ish and Chandler get some minutes if possible tonight! They're both supposed to be really solid perimeter defenders. Also definitely looking forward to Smith getting some burn too! Otherwise we'll be really undersized.

You think they are better perimeter defenders than Bridges, Cam or Jae and want them to take minutes from them?

I think we should try Smith. Stick him on Markkanen or Love, see how he guards those guys...they are not quick 4s. Or he could maybe guard Mobley or Allen when they are both on the floor. Rather see that than Chandler or Markkanen. I'd put Bridges on one of the guards. Maybe Book on Okoro.

No! Lol.................Of course not
I'm talking about whenst they sit. Off the bench to hopefully give those players more rest so they can be fresher later in the game ( when it counts). At the very least, I'd like to believe that we could strategize to have Wainwright ( as he's supposedly strong) and perhaps Hutchinson and Smith wear them down with physical play and hard fouls periodically.........right?? Then our starters come back in fresh and put a run on them and their tired legs!

Teams that made the 2nd round are 25-21.

That's good news for us as it indicates it's not just us and hopefully just early season re-adjustment.

Also 11 of the 14 teams above .500 didn't win a playoff series.

We have been voted up by many analyst becouse of the continuity we had - now we are blaming finals hangover? wtf? Go out and beat some trash teams - like the Kings. Do your job! I wish you could be in Suns locker room prior to tip off and use your inspiring words to get their heads out of them a** to finally show up and win as a unit.

I guess someone did it for me. Good thing, it would be **** to fly across the globe just for one pre game peptalk. 8-)

Man, Raps got a good one in Barnes. 7 games in and he is averaging (almost) 18 points, 8+ rebounds, 2+assists and 0,7 steals and blocks each with a 20+ PER (56th in the whole league :o ). 55.6% FG and 78% FT while he is not (yet) a good 3 shooter, but he is a lockdown defender already. Khwai 2.0?
Meanwhile the Raps are 4-3, with Siakam injured and Dragic not really playing, so he is doing all this. They get a good young guard via a trade and they are good to go.

Yep!!
The top franchises understand the importance of utilizing all avenues of continual improvement. It's great if your a contender, But you always need to have a consistent influx of young, cheap, talent. Both to sustain competitiveness and also as low cost salary ballast for their high end core players. Also recognizing the value of these young talents as percieved premium cost controlled trade assets for pursuit of high end veteran additions.

Then there's us........................
We have Hutchinson and Wainwright ( who don't even really play) and also Smith whose barely gotten any playing time. And we also have Payton and Nader. By comparison, I'm sure most would prefer a number of these young rookies that are balling out that we chose to pass on
https://hashtagbasketball.com/nba-rookie-rankings

in interest of our bench players that haven't yet really contributed. Or Shamet, Whom will be making close to $10 million per and also has yet to contribute. For Barnes, it's been suggested that he could become the next Draymond Green. To date, it looks like he's living up to that billing! :-?

My bad! I glanced at it ( but obviously not fully) as I was running out this morning. :banghead:
So I misread it a bit. Luckily though, It seems that we have an extra day ( until tommorow) as opposed to the previous Oct. 31st deadline (today)to pick up their options.

Fingers crossed that Saver doesn't fo something stupid ( meddle) in Jones decision to pickup their options! Still, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the delay was in fact due to Saver telling Jones to explore their trade value (Johnson/ Smith package) for a more cost friendly option?? :-?

** Also imagine what the perception around the league might he after we first don't extend Ayton, and now haven't yet chosen to pick up the options for either Smith or Johnson. This can't help the perception of Saver and by extension our franchise being cheap and not committed to their players. Hopefully it gets taken care of by tommorows' deadline!

If they wanted to trade them it would be better to have picked up their options. Very strange they haven't picked up Cam's especially.

I'm sure they will pick them up.

Worst would be if they just forgot.

I guess maybe the most likely scenario was they wanted to see Stix because they weren't sure, and didn't want to pick up Cam's and not Stix which might kill Smith's confidence. Hopefully last night's game helped them decide to pick it up.
