For what it’s worth Barnes likely wouldn’t have been on the board for when Minnesota picked. You either pick in front of the Raps and take Mobley/Green/Cade or after them and take Kuminga or Suggs. Not getting Mobley who is legitimately perfect for the team is a bummer though.

Fair, but if I told you that Denver was going to shoot 40.9% from the field and 24.7% from 3 and only score 93 points, wouldn’t you expect us to find a way to score 94?

I’d have laughed at you for even daring to suggest we could hold anyone to 93pts.

Houston probably gets held under 100 if we don’t empty the bench. The Pels, Bucks, and Nuggets all got held under 100. 3 of 5 really 4 of 5 games this season we have done it. So not as funny as you think.

Remember, we're talking about preseason here. There was no indication we'd be good defensively beyond the same hype train they've rolled out the last 5 years that inevitably goes off the rails by the first or second game.

Right now? Sure, I'm not suprised by the defence because apparently Pat Bev is like the defence whisperer. But a couple months back? No.

Oh come on.

There was literally no way to guarantee we kept the pick. Even with the worst record in the entire league we could have dropped to 4th and handed the pick over. This hand wringing over trying to win for once is laughable.

You want to argue the DLo trade wasn't good? Fine. But that was damage done by last season.

To be fair I think it might be that Finch is the young Wolf whisperer. That said, it is real shame that you find a way to lose when Denver is trying so hard to let you win.

We went from 40% down to like 30% (give or take a few points.) Also the wins were not meaningless. The team had to buy into Finch’s philosophy and if you cannot tell going from 28th out of 30 defensive rank to near the top speaks volumes about how committed the team is to Finch and his philosophy.
