I really can't wait until Pascal and Yuta come back, so we can get a real idea of how good this team is.

I wouldn't overrate our team, since we lack shooting on basically every position except SG.
We can get away with it on defense, but teams got hot or us having defensive break down (eg. over help) may overcome our effort.

Last year it showed that improving shooting isn't a one day (one season) thing (see Bembry, Stanley Johnson), sometimes it may take two or three years. Will have to see if Siakam and Barnes can make it to their shooting expectation, while Banton improves a bit more on his shooting this year.

The biggest worry after watching last game was that Barnes being fouled. Teams may intentionally foul him in a close game going forward, while our lack of clutch creation may not get us the win as a result.

Too bad, playing in the Garden can be like a new star's coming out party.

So more minutes for who? Banton? Svi? maybe a chance for Boucher to start showing something.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

I got this Knicks as a L thus we should not play Barnes.
Perfect opportunity for Chris: He would be a great fit between OG and Precious.

Too bad that Scottie's possibly out. I was hoping this game would be a barometer of where this team is at.

I'm kinda glad Barnes gets some rest tbh. 35 min a night in the NBA with a game practically every other day is taxing on any player, esp a rookie. I
would have loved to see him matchup against Randle but there'll be 3 other opportunities this year to see that.

I'm okay with him resting because I feel like without Pascal and Yuta tonight was a loss anyway. BUT I'm just worried that if its a sprain he's gonna be out much longer than just tonight. If that's the case a losing streak will definitely happen

Unless OG goes back to preseason form, this is gonna be an ugly L without Scottie.

Here is how I see the SL if Barnes can't go:
FVV
GTJ
OG
PA
KB
I expect Nurse to go big and try to dominate the paint and on second chance points cuz the offence will be awful anyway.

Knicks has talent and a team that believes, have their heart back and seem to have risen from the dolan drama.

Gibson looks like he got a new lease on life and then bench is strong. DRose continue to be a great vet.

Hard not to like that team. They will make it tough in both the perimeter and inside the paint. If Raps squeeze out a W it will be through perfecr execution in 4 qtrs which is doubtful..

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world because it likely keeps the bench unit of Birch/Boucher/Svi/Banton in tact while likely giving Flynn the opportunity to play alongside those 4 a bit.

I think it's more likely that, assuming Scottie is out, Svi starts though. Similar to us, the Knicks are a pretty long team outside of their PGs. Fournier is off to a hot start, but I think he's the least of our worries when it comes to the Knicks starting 5 tonight. I expect to see a lot of Svi/Dragic on him while we use GTJ as the primary RJ defender and OG as the primary Randle defender.
