I don't know what to make of our bigs...they are playing well, but are they really major pieces for the future? Maybe a swole, healthy Isaac comes back and cements our Center spot and makes MIP Bamba a solid sign & trade chip? He might command a higher return than WCJ. I also could envision moving Isaac for a legit scorer or high pick...but he's another guy whose injury history might kill any trade value and, therefore, be a guy to just build with. It's easy to forget how impactful he can be when he's perpetually in street clothes or Fox News. I love Chuma, but he could also be the guy they consider offers for (unless he starts raining 3's to go along with his high IQ 2-way game - he's great, but Franz might displace him on the chart.

Some What-ifs.

What if Fultz plays like a starter and Anthony continues as he is? Orlando sort of has to run a three-guard set then. Right?

..

Can't send Franz to the bench, IMO, and I don't know that Bamba's breakout isn't somewhat dependent on having a bigger body like MCW's next to him...as much as I'm Team Bamba, I'm not sure it isn't a bit of a chemistry experiment with WCJ. I'm hesitant to project that he would do as well with another skinny, mobile guy (Isaac) at PF...so, Bamba could be the odd man out (maybe traded rather than banished to bench)...Ultimately, I like Cole to the 6th man role regardless of his play.

Just run with the starters of Anthony/Suggs/Fultz/F-Wagner/Bamba

Yes that means Isaac would need to "move on", but I am OK with that right now. Those five need starting game time to see where this team lands.

What is becoming very clear, even those this team lacks any cohesion and needs more talent, the roster is very poorly constructed.

Just looking at him gives me Shawn Bradley flashbacks. However, his play is practically KD-lite!

If we get him we gotta hire back our all time fats.. I mean all time legends Shawn Kemp and BBD to put some meat on his frame. A normal foul makes it look like a flagrant on him.

Don't think he will last long in an NBA grind style 82 game season. He would become another Pozingus quick.

Kristaps is an inside player with a 3pt shot. Chet is a perimeter player like KD. His handles and dribbles through traffic already shows that.

He is very skilled. But he is brutally underweighted.
Pokusevski for example has really nice ballhandling skills but in nba over year and half he can't contribute because he is being pushed around by everybody.

Durant, as skinny as he looked, played rookie season with 212 pounds . I can't imagine Chet weighting more than 190.
Durant nowdays plays at 230-240 pounds, basicallly same weight as Giannis but looks skinny because he doesn't have body muscular frame and can't pack up visiable muscular tonus, doesn't have visiable vains..

According to Google Chet is 88kg - I'm 6ft 2, I run marathons and play basketball and I weigh 86...

For additional context KD is 109kg.

Chet's skillset is incredible for his size, but unless he can put a lot of meat on those bones there's no way he's contributing in the NBA. He'll get bodied (and probably injured).

I feel like the turnovers and defensive mistakes are the unavoidable parts of playing such a ridiculously young team, especially when you consider how young our PGs are.

Overall, I'm more encouraged than discouraged:

-- After the first two blowouts, we have not mentally folded like many of our past young teams have.

-- We have multiple non-rookie young guys outplaying their past selves: Cole, Bamba, WCJ. If this continues, one has to think it reflects well on both the talent evaluators who acquired them and the coach who has developed them for the last several months.

-- The above makes me hopeful that JI and Fultz can return at least as good as they were before.

-- Franz is performing significantly beyond realistic expectations, and Suggs' rookie struggles on offense are balanced out at least somewhat by his arguably NBA-ready defense.

-- Most of the guys who have really stunk it up have been vets who won't be on this team next year anyway (RJ might be an exception here).

Shees, i'm 190 cm( between 6'2 and 6'3) and i trimmed down to 91 kg to dunk & run , i found that as happy medium between strenght & athletic desires.. This guy weights less and is like 2 heads taller

I mean, Pokusevski can dribble , run and in general has tools. But his body is nowhere near nba ready so he looks like dog s***t.

You can't play in nba without any strenght... injuries will kill you

Chet makes me cringe. He is sooo skinny. And bulking up might do him no good either.

Chet could very well put up eye-popping stats this year that would make him hard to pass on.

The talent is there, no doubt. But longevity might be something worth considering

Oh no doubt. This NCAA season I expect Chet to be the 3-4 cuz 6'5 guys with more bulk will push him around. Good thing he has this 1 year ( or so ) to gain at least 10-15 lbs of bulk. Then IF we draft him, we can give him the 2 month Dwight Howard special where half the league will be crying for us to be drug tested. I think he will come into the league 215lbs as a rookie. Give him 2-3 years... I mean we did do the same for a 210lb JI. He is now at his 4th yr 240lbs right?
