Pistons "City" Jersey leak...

Maybe old news as this was tweeted out on the 22nd but...

Seems to be teal sandwiching the darker blue stripe down the sides, and there is the lightning bolt homage to Jersey's past as well.

Too busy IMO. Tried to do too much.

Officially unveiled as of this morning.

They're respectable, considering the clunkers they've been rolling out over the last 10 years, although the shorts aren't great compared to the tops. Hopefully this is a precursor to dropping the terrible gray jerseys and bringing back either the mid 90's or mid 2000's red jersey in its place next year or soon after.

I thought the Motor City Silver jersey we had were good but then they began to wear off on me. It just looks like a weird Spurs knock off. They can keep the silver/gray pallette in San Antonio.

These red ones now that they're unveiled look pretty decent actually. Especially the homage teal era stripes zig zagging down the sides and the shorts. It's good more creative version of whatever they released in the last few years or so

Our "city" jerseys are NEVER good, they're always boring and completely devoid of any creativity. You would think Detroit has nothing going for it.

We need to just do a Teal Era throwback and be done with it. At least that would visually interesting.

Meh. I mean, it's a jersey. I'm personally not a big fan of red as the main color so it doesn't do anything for me. Styling is fine but then I'm not someone who looks at a jersey hoping for an "OOH--I could rock dat at da club!" reaction. A jersey for me gets worn to the game and nowhere else, literally.

Ford has no big ties to the Pistons and all the automakers are pushing EV's so I don't think that has any real bearing. Not to mention that even if Ford did have big ties to the Pistons, the Pistons' marketing people wouldn't surmise that, as some sort of homage to Ford, most people would think "lightning = electricity = EV = buy one = buy Ford."

It's just the lightning bolt from one of their old jerseys. The one in the pic above actually that was posted of John Long.
