I’m counting on a win tonight as between Sabonis and Turner they should win the under the rim battle. Just hope our guards can slow down Murray and White. It’s gonna be tough to win but tonight I have faith.

LeVert ballin'.
sure looks like Carlisle is happy with double bigs. he's played Sabonis with Myles or Goga.

57% from 2
47% from 3
Won’t lose many games when you hit your open looks. Rebounds and assists better by 3 each. Very surprised that Spurs only had 9 fouls. So that convinces me that they needed to be much more aggressive on defense and the Pacers weren’t pressured as much as they were vs other teams recently.
As I posted before game started I had the feeling Sabonis and (Turner especially) would be able to get shots and rebounds tonight with ease. I thought this because Turner had a much smaller defender and I think that gave him confidence he could win his match up tonight.

Lifted from a previous post in this thread:
"Injury Report for tonight’s game vs. San Antonio:
Caris LeVert - Available (back)
Kelan Martin - Available (left hamstring)
Malcolm Brogdon - Out (left hamstring)
Jeremy Lamb - Out (left ankle)
Isaiah Jackson - Out (left knee)
T.J. Warren - Out (left foot)"
Its odd, how all those injuries are to the left side. Well, except of LeVert's back of course.

I remember a game a couple of years ago against Utah. Turner and Sabonis going head to head with Gobert and Favors. We killed them Turner and Sabonis both had huge games. This game is the first time since than that I remember that the Turner Sabonis combination visibly created a competitive advantage.

It is several years into the combo experiment, and we still haven't really seen it deployed the way like people speculate it could be done. Nate 1 was stodgy and stubborn about trying new things or getting creative with his players. Nate 2 had some interesting ideas but ultimately seemed out of his depth as far as being an NBA head coach level of coach and player manager.
This year is probably where we will see more of what it can be and if it can be successful than we ever have.

The thing is, we don't know (by the lack of info in the tweet) whether he tested positive, or came into contact with someone who tested positive (meaning contact tracing), or what the exact situation might be.
I just wish people would get the vaccine. Not that it is 100% effective, but then nothing is and it is still the best choice to protect one's self and others.

My guess the Sprus game was an exception. Tonight if we go two bigs at the same one of them will have to guard Randal. Seems like a mismatch waiting to happen to me. But, that is why we play the game. If two bigs works tonight that would be a good sign.
