Gupta was a little evasive but he did acknowledge that CNN shouldn’t have called it horse dewormer. It’s a half lie of the kind pseudo-journalists justify to themselves because they think that description is more “true” or relevant than the neutral one. He didn’t press Rogan on the fact that there’s little evidence for ivermectin against Covid and that because it’s a successful anti-parasitic it’s not as likely it would be a successful anti-viral med, too.
The net brainpower at CNN is probably about the level of Rogan’s, smart but not super-smart, having its own biases- but he’s a single person who can speak and reflect and admit to limitations and CNN is a collective editorial body who exist behind the scenes and never have to or choose to be publicly candid.
Well that’s your take. Mine is that Gupta was exceedingly evasive. He is forced into that position because the truth is that CNN lies in an attempt to drive profit and the content they publish is closer to a steaming pile of dog **** than journalism.
They just suck like everyone else does. Given his “position” that’s the most you’re going to get him to say. He didn’t lie. He’s not going to quit his job or call out the network publicly.
