His shot selection hasn't been the best either.

No he's trying to force the issue too much at this point.

All of the weaknesses he showed in the summer league aren't going away. He's not explosive, streaky shooter, not as big or long as he was advertised. He might end up worse than Darko as a pick. Should have drafted Evan Mobley. The only solace to take is we are going to pick in the top 5 again, CAN'T miss this time.

Give me a break with this garbage.
I swear, this place is like twitter sometimes with ridiculous takes like this one.

Yes, Cade looked really bad in his first 2 games and there's no sugar coating that but yes, it's only 2 freaking games into his career and yes, he's coming off of an ankle injury and yes, he hasn't even practiced fully with the team before playing these games so it's going to take time for him to feel his way into the NBA season. I knew he would struggle right off the bat and even said so a few games ago here on this board and I also knew that the bust talk would start flowing so can some of you guys chill with this ridiculous over the top hyperbole, it's turning this board into a cesspool.

Granted our abysmal offense isn’t giving him a lot of good looks, but it still seemed worth pointing out.

The good news is that with Killian shooting 33% on three points this season he is no longer the most inefficient offensive player in the league... he's now 5th worst.

Cade Cunningham 17.5 TS%
Kevin Huerter 33.8 TS%
Blake Griffin 37.2 TS%
Jaden McDaniels 37.5 TS%
Killian Hayes 38.0 TS%

I did say if Killian could hit at least 33.3% of his three points it would at least keep the defense honest and make them have to get a hand up so that they couldn't cheat off him as much, because that is at least 1.0 PPP which is better than most of our offense. But on the downside I never imagined he would be shooting only 25% on 2 point field goals.

Cade will figure out the shooting with time but it might be a rough few weeks because he looks more off than I would have ever imagined after shooting the ball so well in college.

The other thing to note here, is that Beilin was working with Cade on trying to get a higher release on his 3 point shot.

I noticed that too, I saw it in Summer league, I was hoping it was rust, but he's not just long or short, he's missing left/right, normally when I see that, I see it as a red flag.

He's 40th worst according to NBA stats, up to 360th with a bullet.

I did a MPG minimum so it shows players actually in nba rotations not just out of rotation garbage time stats.

The worst part of that list is that I like Jaden McDeniels and Kevin Huerter a lot :banghead:

This made me a little sad. It's a line taken from a Ringer article about the Cavs:

And while the new-look starting group’s defense has looked ahead of schedule, its offense has been downright dismal, producing just 97.9 points-per-100—an anemic output trailed only by young tankers in Detroit and Oklahoma City.

Yup -folks outside of Detroit already know we're tanking. We didn't even make it seven games...

What a flop by Embiid. That was funny.
