raptors wnba team

Post#1 » by Lockdown504090 » Wed Nov 3, 2021 3:40 pm

Drake brought it up, but thats not important so i wont link it, but thats what got me thinking about it. Wouldnt toronto actually sell a lot of tix for a womens league? we have lots of travellers here from around canada and abroad. Womens basketball is already very big in the area, This seems like a no-brainer.

Would you guys be interested in either watching on tv if the teams good, or even going to a game?

I think it can work because they can cross promote it with the Raptors. It can be an added perk, your Raptors season seat package includes WNBA tickets.

We've got Raptors seasons, and my teenage daughter (who plays on her school basketball team) said she would be down with going to WNBA games.

So count me in. The highlights look good, but it's hard for me to pay attention to the league without a rooting interest (calm down, Aussies!).

A Toronto WNBA team would definitely get me to start following the WNBA

I would definitely watch.

Let’s go WRaptors
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

To be honest I wouldn't watch unless they make the WNBA finals.

say they made it to the finals and lost, would you be interested in their following playoff run if they were playing another great team in a series? Im into the womens game heavy, so the people who dont care interest me.

Nope, not really.

I just don't find WNBA entertaining. Same thing with TorontoFC, Argos, Rock, Leafs.

I have a friend who gets free tickets to TFC, Argos, Rock games and I never take those tickets cause I just don't find those sports or teams entertaining enough unless they are in a championship game.

I only care for Raptors, Jays and UFC.

What happens in any of our players switch genders? Would they be allowed to play for the other Raptor's team?

I probably wouldn't watch or attend any games. Toronto 905 on the other hand would be a nice alternative to NBA basketball.

For me , there is something missing when I watch the WNBA. I tried to get into it watching this years finals but I just don't have an interest even though the series was great. I watch women's tennis, MMA and some Olympics sports but not sure why I can't get into WNBA. I think if it were to come here, they would need a Carter like player to get a jump start to it.

Ill support it, like I support all my Toronto team but not fanatically like I do with the Raptors.

Toronto Towers name should be used.

I support it. However, I'm not sure I would be able to watch it. Same reason I don't watch college or high school games. It's just not the league of the absolute best athletes in the world regardless or race/gender/etc. I honestly wouldn't care if women even played in the NBA if they were good enough. but obviously that's not a fair expectation, but there's no reason it shouldn't be allowed and accommodated for. But That's why you can't have the same financial expectations from WNBA or Euro league or any other league that is not considered that absolute pinnacle of the sport.

Return to Toronto Raptors
