uncle fats says....

we have the "Index" thread for this purpose, make it easy to find old/new player specific threads. people can either post in player specific threads.... or in general nba thread. i dont think it really matters. we dont get so many posts that its a problem to wade thru those old player updates on either. whatever promotes discussion and activity is good for board.

my 2 cents

I think they do just see white Turk big who can score, just another kanter, not interested.

So what would it take to get us a promising young big next summer?

I'd offer him the most we can offer him.

Should've traded for him when Clifford wouldn't play him.

Yeah we missed out on our chance, although I think their management always liked him even though Clifford didn’t. They got rid of his positional competition to almost make the new coach play him

I thought the exact same thing.

I was completely lost by the time I hit the 3rd acronym in the story and had no idea what it stood for.

I **** got yall. Disclaimer before I proceed: I understand the terminology, not necessarily the logic behind why people invest in this **** outside of a desire to launder money(I say as I am an avid crypto invester). So this Tyler guy owns a NFT- which is an original graphic that has a unique serial slapped to it that makes it identifiable as the "original" image of it's kind- you can't copy this serial code- so people attach values to these NFTs and buy/sell them as if they were stocks/cryptocurrencies. In this particular case you can only buy his particular NFT using a crypto coin named Etherium- which looks to be the most realistic coin among cryto's to compete with regular currency.

NOW as it pertains to what cryptocurrency is: a crypto coin is created when a CPU/GPU "mine" data, which is a really simplified way of saying forcing your CPU/GPU to complete extremely complex algorithms. Why? **** beats me, but know that each "coin" has a different algorithm they run, in Etherium's case it runs Keccak-256 which is like a mega advanced encryption code. In return for running this algorithmn, and encrypting data, you get a data bit- which is the aforementioned crypto coin. These coins, due to day trading, are **** immensely valuable.

I don't understand why people would ever spend that much money on shoes.

This is why most athletes are broke shortly after they retire.

Now-a-days it kind of makes sense given the market that exists due to sneakerheads. It isn't much different than investing in a Rolex. If it is a shoe with a limited supply, or a shoe that has a signature feature (ex: the NFT in question) than it will accrue value rather rapidly. That stated, I would probably spend my money on actual Rolexes or gold to dodge taxes instead of throwing them into the volatile sneaker market.

So the shoes wouldn't be worth 140k, they just have an image file printed on them that is theoretically worth 140k that is sitting on a computer or am I missing something

The image itself is "theoretically" worth 140k. I have no idea how much the shoes would be worth. Probably alot since they belong to an NBA player and have his signature image, however having the image on those shoes- as it is a copy of the Original image that sits on a computer- doesn't lend the shoes the value of the image in question.

Read on Twitter

Came across this on twitter. I had the exact same sentiment, it's wild how quickly that franchise pivoted off these guys.
