Well, an endorsement by Perk might mean it’s less likely we make the playoffs, since he is wrong so much.

I often wonder how Perk got his job? I know TNT tries to get players who are more personality than analysis like Chuck and Shaq, and maybe ESPN is trying to copy that model? But when I see him I feel uncomfortable, like he’s put there for people to laugh “at,” and not “with.”

Didn’t he say he didn’t believe in us 2 years ago when we were 10-8? Might be a broken clock but I’ll take it. Guys on SXM were saying playoffs due to Edwards today.

That said he’s more outspoken than knowledgeable as far as prognostication.

ESPN already has a feature on their show saying "Will Luka Doncic need to leave the Mavs to win NBA title?" That's so stupid, they are acting like he's some 10 year vet who has been stuck on a horrid team. So annoying seeing these guys try to get every star in a major market. They brought up Ja Morant too.

Reminder that purely from a self-interest standpoint Jimmy Butler did the right thing leaving Minnesota and Philly for the Heat. I thought he was nuts to want to go to the Heat of all teams but they made the finals and they look good again this season.

Unfortunately, the Pelicans have only managed to beat us, they have been in damn near every game though. Mavericks keep pulling out wins despite looking awful for much of the game.

Anyone know what the deal with Boogie Cousins is? I read a while back he was going to Lakers, then I read the Denver coach comments about him being out of the league. I haven’t been paying attention to it and a quick Google search doesn’t tell me much.

Of course, Orlando shoots 30 percent today.

To be fair against us in the first 3 quarters they shot 9-31 from 3. That’s 29% they had one insane quarter where they shot 66% on 8-12. The clippers had another such quarter with 9-11 against us. Take that out and you get 12-25 which is still well above their average but not as insane.

How did Cleveland get better than the wolves already? I guess they didn’t spend a great asset to acquire an overpaid overated oft injured “allstar” like Dlo to keep their star player happy (Kat) and they made good draft picks in the Lottery and then acquired solid veterans like Rubio for relatively cheap.

I thought the Cavs would be horrific. They are legit good. They’re going to make the playoffs. Two huge reasons are Rubio and Mobley. Two guys that do all the little things and make others better on both ends. I’d trade anyone on our roster for Mobley. He’s going to be incredible.

And Rubio is up to 37 tonight. Wow. 8-8 from three.

Cleveland and Washington are huge shockers early on. That said we are only 10 percent through the season, lots of teams start off hot or cold and change. But yea they look really good right now. For one thing I love their size. Seems like being big is good again the NBA and we goofed being a small team.

I also think veteran presence/older team is massive. We got more vets but we are still one of the youngest teams in the NBA. Disater is around the corner when you are relying on 20-21 year olds to be consistent. I wish we had more size and like two more older 26-31 vets playing in our rotation.

Mobley allows them to play two bigs. On defense he can essentially guard 1-5, allowing Allen to stay close to the rim. Mobley also cleans up a lot of the mistakes of the smaller guards, who are not good defenders.

On offense it works because Mobley plays like a guard. He’s a very very good ball handler and passer. He always makes the right pass and quick. He’s the anti-KAT in that regard. He can also shoot to about 18-20 feet. His three is not there yet but it will be. His form is just too good.

Long story short, two bigs works when one is Mobley. Could it work with Towns and someone like Myles Turner? Maybe. Maybe not. It would definitely be clunkier.
