Gary Payton II is a freaking dog

Post#1 » by SUPERVILLAIN » Thu Nov 4, 2021 5:59 am

This man is a lockdown defender just like his dad. A defensive monster. A steal machine. It's crazy that he was available for any team to grab via waivers before this season starts.

If he can hit open 3s he will be a good addition off the bench for the warriors

First of all, super small sample size. But he has been hitting threes these last two seasons.

2020-21: 10 games, 0.4 3PA, .500 3P%
2021-22: 7 games, 0.9 3PA, .667 3P%

Man gets after it defensively just like his pops. Nice spot defender that you can throw into a game when needed. I saw that Kerr was using him at the end of quarters to defend the last possession and he’d made a steal in 3 or 4 straight possessions at the end of a quarter.

If the rule changes stick around GPII's stock might rise a bit in today's game as opposed to the last decade of Analytictopia
