Guys will struggle in games in a long season. The Hawks seem to have fundamental problems that they didn't improve upon from last season. The pg issues are still lingering. Lou and Wright are not point guards. The former is considering retiring which means he doesn't have much left in the tank and the other is just a lead guard/combo guard at best.

Seems to be some toughness issues inside. Big O missing really hurts that aspect. The pg issues are magnified when Trae struggles badly and you get no contributions from Lou and Wright. If they had a good vet pg you'd possibly pull this game out and perhaps the Cavs game. Dieng just needs to eat enough innings until Onyeka gets healthy.

Cam's first real struggle game of the season, I'm interested in seeing how he bounces back next game.

That's what hurts IMO, he was pretty good before, so once you see in the first half that he's not playing well (it was not just shot not falling, it was bad choices most of the time), and you're playing Vs a team you should fight all season in the record column, I would have have benched him and maybe the game would have been a win.
-13 in the first half, and -12 in the second
I really don't understand the choice of playing him so much in second half

Even with Trae bad shooting, and Cam not playing at all, there was something very positive : ATL dominated when playing with Clint
And it's possible that with Big O replacing him, it would have been a win.
We will see it on April 2 in 3rd game Vs BKN as he won't be back for the 2nd

Return to Atlanta Hawks
