Cade isn't a PG.

I’ve been watching their games and he is awful.

But it doesn’t help that he is being coached by the worst coach in the league.

They're trying to highlight the parts of their game that are valuable in a NBA style offense. Killian Hayes was a big, switchable defensively guard that could already attack off of the dribble and make plays for others at only 18 years old.

Clearly his time in the NBA has shown he was only good at doing that against lesser competition, but it's no surprise that NBA scouts were intrigued by him. That's the exact kind of player that you would be excited about finding as a NBA scout.

Except that he wasn't good at that in the EuroCup, which is Europe's second tier level competition (below EuroLeague level).
The point UcanUWill was making is he wasn't good in Europe's 2nd tier league. In fact, he was below average in Europe's second tier league. He certainly wasn't good, and would have in no way in hell made the rotation of any decent EuroLeague team.

I actually don't think the Pistons did that badly the last decade or so. You can't really fault them for drafting Luke Kennard at 12 when at least 6 other teams before them screwed up on their picks. Zach Collins, Frank Nilikina, Dennis Smith Jr., Josh Jackson, Fultz? I mean if any of those other GMs made better picks maybe we don't go "damn it the Pistons could've gotten Donovan Mitchell at 12"

The same type of logic goes for most of their late lottery picks. They didn't draft the best guy left on the board but it wasn't like they did anything that people thought was dumb at the time and ended up being a disaster.

Again, not saying they are great at drafting but I think they are either average or slightly below average when compared to most teams. Their player development and overall team direction is a train wreck but just on drafting alone I don't think it was that bad.

Saw him play a few times in Europe and was pretty underwhelmed by what I saw back then.

What I don't understand is why the Pistons keep playing him if he is so so bad? Actually how bad are the options?

Probably because the Pistons already know that they're not going anywhere and they want to see if there's any sort of progression through a full season. Honestly I'd do the same thing just to see if it either pays off going into next season or you realize that he just doesn't have the goods and you try to trade him to someone who still believes he can be developed.

bold from you after your post that was bumped in the Lamelo Ball thread the other day, would've thought you would learn something about calling players busts before they've played 5 games in their careers

I know he's young, but that's a pretty brutal start.

But he has the most beautiful eyelashes i have ever seen on a man! Seriously, women definetly envy him every time they put on their fake ones.

Hayes and cade are the best duo, they grant Pistons a top 3 pick till 2030.

I dont think other options are bad, they are just playing young kid, I mean they have nothing to lose. Coach Casey probably has strong support from upstairs as he basically just developing a high loto pick. The question will he ever develop is a mystery, but they are doing the right thing.

I watched last game vs Sixers and Killian is a very different player then last season. His shot is not falling (better last two games obv), but he doesn't play afraid anymore, looks very solid on defense and plays much better on offense too. He actually compliments Cade quite well. Hope he improves, i like the guy, but didn't have much hope after last year.

It doesn’t take any stalking lmao
It’s hard to miss your obnoxious posts in many young prospects threads declaring busts and stars after a handful of games.

Don’t get mad when your ridiculous posts get brought back up
