Wasn't that also an issue for Kemba early in his career?

Wasn't that extreme but yes.

Discounting 7-59 because nobody can succeed in those circumstances...

2012-13: 19.8/6.2 on 55.6 TS% at home, 15.7/5.3 on 47.5 TS% on the road
2013-14: 19.3/6.9 52.4 TS% home, 16.0/5.3 on 47.1 TS% road
2014-15: actually did better on the road than at home, both below 50 TS%

Shot at the coach, or shot at himself for picking up dumb fouls and keeping himself out of the game?

He's averaging 20/7/7

I don't think he will, but there's an outside chance he could lead the team in all 3 stats eventually.

I think he has played the entire 4th quarter of the last 2 games... Looks like JB changed his rotation pattern for Melo after the complaints.

assists he's got on lockdown, nobody else even averages 4.

Rebounds might be a dogfight all season, Melo currently leads Plumlee by a single rebound who leads Bridges by a total of two rebounds. We can only hope Plumlee loses minutes as the season goes on or is traded for somebody, so it'll be between the AirBnB duo probably, or somebody not currently on the roster.

How the scoring shakes out is anybody's guess, you could convince me any order of Miles, LaMelo, Terry, and Hayward will be our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th leading scorers at the end of the season, and I would buy it.

The fact he's even close to this feat as a 2nd year player is both an incredible achievement and a huge sign that our bigs are dog ****

probably not, but this is the team to do it, if there ever was one. We play fast, and have exactly 4 players with any kind of scoring prowess on a consistent basis. I think all four end up between 18-21

actually the 1969-70 Lakers kinda did it. West, Wilt, Baylor, Hairston all averaged 20+, but shouldn't really count as Wilt only played 12 games, and Baylor and Hairston missed 28 and 27 games

While their defensive rating stays much the same with or without Ball on the floor, their offence is night and day, with the reigning Rookie of the Year running the show — a full 15 points per 100 possessions better.

As it stands, the Hornets are tenth in the NBA offensive rating this season at 109.1 and it's clear LaMelo Ball is the biggest reason why.

Start Cody? Would be an interesting experiment, I think it could work.

Or if they’re worried about ego, sub him out first, early, to put him back on with the second unit.
