Putting CJ McCollum's contract on our books basically handcuffs us to him and Harris forever. Not at all a good option.

So what? 2-3 years isn’t forever. That team would be LEGIT title contenders for all 3 of those years during Embiids prime. Plus you’d still have a boatload of pics, Max and some of the other yougins.

Adding Seth Curry on steroids to this team right now and subtracting nothing would be amazing. The goal is to win a championship not the salary cap awards.

If CJ would make them legit title contenders for 2-3 years then the deal would already be made. But if that's what you actually believe, I want some of what you're smoking.

CJs a bad fit with our star (Seth Curry).

In fairness, this can be said of a lot of our targets because Seth (who to be honest, is a great player for us, but not a real star) is a very undersized SG. Part of the trade scenario mentioned was getting a shot blocking SF defensive type who is also decent offensively like Jerami Grant as well, since having that kind of talent up front can cover up a lot of sins in the defensive backcourt.

The 'hacked' KAT tweet is just another bit of pressure ratcheting up on Minnesota to find a third team to complete a Simmons deal to make KAT happy. Ingram would be a good target there or one never knows with Sacto, the Sacto, Minny, Philly trip all involves FO guys that worked together or fall from the same GM tree in one way or another.

If we do trade for Dame at this point, somehow, unless he suddenly improves this year and there are indeed several stars struggling with the rules and new ball, the package we send out should be a good bit more modest than prior proposals.

I was half kidding (probably closer to 3/4ths kidding).

Part of me does question just how much better CJ would be that Seth though, particularly given the salary ramifications, that you'd burn your best asset to improve, and that the 2 would be tough to play together. The other part says "well if Seth can do this, imagine how good CJ would look here."

If they want to do CJ plus the type of pick package that could bear fruit in another deal (and not in a Jerami Grant type of way...), I'm game.

Otherwise my standing offer would be Tobias for him.

Ben Simmons pulls this charade and pretended to have mental unwellness to keep his money while not playing or practicing. Forget all the other stuff he's done, this should piss people off more than any of it. The dude is faking a serious real life issue that someone who plays sports in this very city just came out about in Lane Johnson. And to fake this nonsense as a tactic to keep getting paid is absolutely pathetic.

Ben Simmons is an absolute loser. I wonder how people in the NBA who are legitimately suffering from depression or anxiety feel about this clown making this all up just so he doesn't get fined.

ceasefire over !!!

He shows up to stop getting fined. Then he does everything he can to get fined while he is here. What's the plan here Ben? To lose as much as your salary as possible then go home and say "It's not worth me playing!"

Next step in the process. Ben fires Klutch and says I'm ready to play I have had bad representation. Then he hires Raymond Brothers and the 76ers will really get their asses handed to them.

Is there another case in which a player is on a 1st place team, is wanted by the team to play and be a focal point, but they would rather lose money in hopes to be traded to some random crap team?

How cruel are the Sixers to do it against a guy who’s suffering from “mental illness”.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
