My hope is that he asks out now that he's got his extension. The Thunder aren't going anywhere soon and if he does they're going to want young players & picks in return. If a few of the Thunder's picks hit and they start trending up I don't think we'd have enough assets to prize him away cold, like you say.

However, if he does ask out and the Thunder are still bad, then Cole/Bamba/RJ & firsts would be on the table for me. Probably one of Isaac/Chuma too if OKC wanted them.

They were rumored to be offering him for Cade at the beginning of the season. If we got a top 3 pick, they may take that.

Lol, we arent go to

hes one of the best young players in the NBA and locked into a long term contract, the Thunder have 0 reason to give him away and considering they actually have a competent GM, they wont.

The amount of assests it would take to get him would shock people on this site

Think about what presti was able to get lately

for a 35 year old Paul on the final year of his contract, he got Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome (who was a 1st rounder the yest before) and a 2022 first rounder. CP3 was 12 years older than SGA is now.

Or, lets look at the trade that presti made to GET sga....
29 year old Paul George for 21 year old SGA, Danilo Gallinari, 5 1st round picks (FIVE!) and 2 swaps

If someone thinks Presti is going to trade SGA for anything short of a kings randoms, they are out of their mind

For us to get SGA, my guess would be the trade would look something like (and this would be if we're lucky)

SGA+filler for Suggs, Fultz, Ross, Bamba and our 1st rounder this year (no protections), the Chi pick and our first rounder in 24, plus multiple swaps, and even then they probably say no

A. I don't care about being competitive or putting the best product on the floor right now. I want to see if the guy they just extended (Fultz) can play major minutes with the guy they just drafted 5th overall (Suggs). If they can, great. If they can't, that's ok too, but I need as many minutes as possible to see it play out. This is all about seeing what pairings can work and what pairings can't work so you can determine which guys you can move on from. Not all these guys are going to survive as more lotto picks, free agents and trade acquisitions are added.

B. I don't think this is what Mosley and the Magic will actually do, but the question is what would I do, so this is it.

I expect the Anthony/Suggs/Wagner/Carter/Bamba lineup is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Fultz and Isaac IMO will be worked in slowly like Okeke has been. Off the bench in limited roles as they ramp up.

Agreed...the Fultz/Suggs backcourt is the highest upside POSSIBILITY on the roster...give it a try. Management had a reason for extending Fultz, they must believe he's got more than he's shown yet (since U of W). If it fails, we move on.I still can't wrap my head around Cole as starting PG on a playoff team - as much as I like him as a 3rd guard.

I see us running a three guard rotation of Cole, Suggs, and Fultz, where any two can play together.

At the other end of the lineup, the 4-5 rotation gets spread among Bamba, Isaac, and WCJ, where any two can play together.

At the 3, it's Franz as the starter and Chuma as the backup 3 and deep backup at the 4.
