It sunk all right. Like the friggin' Titanic.

So far this season CoJo averages more assists per game, has fewer TOs per game, and is shooting a better TS% than Killian. And CoJo has been awful... Killian has also been bad but you can see improvement so there's hope.

Killian has been so bad previously that when he has a game where he looks like an NBA player people get super excited about a 10 point 2 assist game.

With all that said, there's STILL literally NO reason to advocate for Corey freaking Joseph over him.

I can't overlook all those positives of when Cade is on the floor. Specifically the +7, the 90% FT and the aggressiveness on offense and D with rebounds and deflections.
Those shots are going to start falling, there will be a reversion to the mean and pretty quickly were going to have ourselves a much more fun Basketball team and really fierce rookie in Cade.
No way he remains a 20% perimeter shooter.
So buckle up.

Some of you guys are shining examples of the use of recency bias so when there comes a moment to turn the tables you can bet your ass I'm going to do it.

Literally none.

"He's playing worse than Cojo"--I DON'T EFFING CARE. He's a #7 draft pick with strong potential. Cojo is a has been.
"He's costing us wins"--I DON'T EFFING CARE. Wins mean nothing right now.
"He'll hurt Cade's development (my personal favorite)"--DEAD AND BURIED. Clearly last night against a good team showed that the potential for Cade and Hayes to be a strong backcourt is absolutely, undeniably, 100% there.

In this Joseph/Hayes thing are we conveniently overlooking the fact that Hayes is a much better defender, and is 6'5 and can gaurd SF's as well?

Asking for a friend.

I think if you're talking about roster balance, and Frank Jackson is your backup SG.... there is a pretty strong argument that Cade/CoJo balances and FJ/Hayes balances better than the backup unit of Jackson/CoJo.

Hopefully Diallo gets it together and starts earning some of those backup SG minutes, but overall Frank and Cory make a pretty small backcourt in that 2nd unit.

Before the last few games, Killian showed no ability to sit in the corner and hit an open 3. That was the #1 reason why the fit with Cade was in question because you want to give Cade space to operate with the ball in his hands.... Now that we've seen Hayes do just that several times there is much more reason to believe that he can (and will) fit well with Cade. Killian has also taken a huge step forward in taking care of the ball. Its come at the expense of him also dropping his assists, but his reduction in TOs is another great sign of him improving and looking more and more like an actual NBA rotation player.

Either way, everyone is correct that its clear this season doesn't really matter. I was hopeful that we'd at least put up an early fight for competing for the 9/10 play in spots but its pretty clear we're no where close so the reality is it makes the most sense to just let all the kids play through all the mistakes and brace ourselves for a 22-26 win type season as one of the worst two teams in the East along with Orlando.

That's why it was always idiotic to say Cade and Killian don't fit before they even stepped on the court together.

And I got a solution to your balance problem......just don't play Cojo.

Cojo can just be benched. Lee has to be a better option at this point. He showed flashes of being able to run a team, and hit a shot.

I would kill to have Delon Wright back. Solves a ton of issues.

Last thing;

The Pistons over the past two games, have played 6 really good quarters of basketball, and its only a matter of time when they have a game where they put it altogether.

Getting there. Another growth game!
