I don't think we even know what the buyout agreement was yet.

ETA: If it's $5 to sign him, Packers are below that.

I don't think OBJ is interested in winning. He just wants his touches

This. Same with D-Jax. Zero interest in dudes who are pouting their way out of good situations simply cuz they think they're still 1A type receivers (they're not).

I think he wants both, which is why if he clears waivers I can see:

KC
Baltimore
Buffalo
Chargers
Packers

Winning helps get a better offer next offseason and probably not only he wants to win, but he wants a top QB to help him inflate his stats.

Go get him. If he's a douche then cut his ass. This is a no brainer.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

I wanted nothing to do with Odell or Desean (to a lesser extent), but at this cost and given both could step in day 1 and upgrade our kick return and stretch the field, yeah, I am good with that. Big difference than trading a first for Odell back when it was discussed.

I'll be honest, I haven't watched a down of OBJ's since he was a Giant. I have no idea if he's still good. But if they can get another weapon on the cheap, go for it. But I think he gets claimed.

I'm pretty tepid about OBJ. I actually never thought that much of him when he was with the Giants. Just thought he got a lot of press because of his one-handed catches, but he was never a WR1 that I feared. So if he's actually gotten worse as a receiver and much worse as a teammate, I'm not hoping the Packers pick him up. But the pro personnel people know what they're doing, so if they pick him up, I'll look forward to being pleasantly surprised by his contributions.

I've seen conflicting reports that OBJ still has it. He's had basically zero chemistry with Baker, even before his latest injury. It might be worth it to bring him in on short leash, but I'd rather just avoid him and generally like OBJ.

I dunno. Has it or not he's going to be more of a threat in the slot then Cobb with MVS and Adams on the outside

Changing the subject here, is Rodgers going to play next week? Is there any decision so far?

I think I heard on the radio that MLF said if he is available he will be playing regardless if he practices or not. So I am guessing he will be playing.

He has to clear the Covid protocols on Saturday after his mandatory 10 day quarantine, and if he does that he will play. So we won't know anything either way until Saturday.

If he's cleared Saturday then he's playing. 100%
