Wait, Deron is only 3 time all star? Man, it seemed like his prime lasted longer than that.

I think its more to do with the fact that these kind of fights have become what most consider the sport to be nowadays. Normal boxing events dont come close to the numbers that these fake matches do. These idiotic clown matches have sadly become the face of the sport.

Sadly I can't disagree. Boxing's reputation is as low as it gets, but this isn't what should represent modern boxing, these circus acts don't come close to what we just saw a few weeks ago from Fury VS Wilder for example which was one of the greatest heavyweight boxing matches ever.

Ya dont get me wrong, Im an MMA fan but I do enjoy boxing as well. I haven't missed a Lomachenko fight in probably 3-4 years, I watched all 3 Fury/Wilder matches and thought each one were great fights in their own way and all together one of the best title trilogies in combat sports history.

But ya Fury/Wilder 3 got less than 600k PPV buys. And sadly these circus fights do just as well if not better. And sadly because of that, these circus fights have become how many view boxing. It does suck because there are still some good boxing matches that sadly go under the radar now.

I've actually sparred with Deron Williams, he has been training a while as he likes MMA. He does a decent job.

I real fighter would kill him, but I think with the experience he has, that he will wipe the table with Gore, even though Gore is a beast.

Will be interesting...beast on the field is different than beast in the ring.

his ankles gave out

Came here to say exactly that, which is why a boxig match doesn't seem like the greatest idea for him...

From interviews I’ve heard from deron it seems like MMA is his passion. I believe he opened an MMA gym. This might be good for him.

Paul has been training for a few years now, celebrities are not going to box him.

Lol @ people blaming the sport of boxing.

The Paul brothers making a mockery of it isn't Boxing's fault.

Imagine two popular social media personalities having a beef and deciding to settle it in a game of 1v1 Basketball or 3v3 or something and they decide to publicize it. Is the entire sport of Basketball a joke then?

Kinda surprised that DWill took out that brother. I didn’t realize any NBA dudes could actually fight.

Dude treated the fight like it was MMA. He owns an MMA promotion I think, he'd probably be more successful in the cage than the ring.

Frank kind of calling out Deron in the post game presser. Frank claiming Deron bent the rules. Frank wants to run it back, Deron saying nope, this was a one off thing. But Frank keeps insisting they run it back lol. Frank is showing Deron respect, but at the same time seems pretty salty, wants a rematch.

This stuff isn't real boxing. It's the boxing version of WWE.

I watched WWE as a kid, everyone knows (or at least most do) that it's fake and scripted but they watch for the drama. The same applies to these fights. And the novelty of celebrities fighting each other has it's appeal too.

I do think these events outdrawing real boxing matches is bad for the sport though. It's like when counterfeited goods outsell the real thing.

I might need to go see an optometrist because I've replayed it 3 times and I don't see Deron push a cameraman...the cameraman walks in front of him and minimal incidental contact is made with Deron's midsection....where is the push?
