Is there actual numbers to prove the offense is more fluid without barnes? Because my eye test tells the opposite lol. The offense looks good when fred/og are having big games

Barnes on: 106.1 ORTG, 50.9 TS%, 47.9 AST%
Barnes off: 107.1 ORTG, 53.5 TS%, 52.5 AST%

Not a huge difference, but the offence has undeniably been better with Barnes off the floor. As great as he has been, he wrecks the spacing a bit (especially with Achiuwa on the floor too).

it's not like he had ankle or knee surgery....his cardio should still be good

I get that but nothing is like in game intensity. If he is playing big minutes expect some short shots and missed layups. He has to get his game legs back. Also, this is a game in early November - no need to rush him back as he wasn't even supposed to be playing at this point anyway.

I actually wish with Siakam limited and Birch out they play Boucher as a starter or at least give him decent minutes. Nurse gets loads of credit for boosting guys up, but Boucher who had 13/7 and 2 blocks in 24 minutes last year is now down to 14 minutes per game. They are also playing at PF where he hasn't played well. Let him be a C and block shots and spread the floor.

I am willing to let the Barnes with braids experiment play out, but he wasn't as sharp last game. He loses about 2-3 inches of afro intimidation (see Jarrett Allen). I am hoping he has a good game back. I am curious to see how much he shares the court with Pascal at first. I have a feeling they will be getting in each other's way.

They are not rushing him back. They have been extremely cautious. Pascal talked about how they wanted to wait an extra week for more practice time but they won't have any practices since they play every other day. His reps in 905 can only do so much since they are not NBA caliber players with the height and length he will face in real games. Thus the team concluded it makes no sense to hold him back any longer since he has been 100% and been cleared for full contact 5x5 for weeks now. His conditioning will not be ideal but it never is until you play real games. Thus he needs to actually play. Their is no longer a good enough reason to hold him back anymore, all the medical and training staff and coaches have cleared him.

Put Scottie at the 5, they have Griffin, Aldridge there.
