Game 11 - 76ers vs Knicks - Nov 8th - 7:00 pm ET

We're now a 1 point underdog after being 5 point favorites earlier in the day. Why?

Because Joel Embiid is out for scheduled rest. Then in even better news, we find that Joel is in COVID protocol also!

The plague has now claimed Embiid, Harris, Joe, and Thybulle. Plus Green may still be out with the hammy. And Young Socialite is busy playing PUBG while working on his "mental".

That leaves us with these 9 players:

PG Maxey | Milton
SG Curry | Springer
SF Korkmaz
PF Reed | Niang
CE Drummond | Bassey

Expecting an 8 man rotation again, leaving out Springer.

I want to see Korkmaz get extended run coming off his monster game in Chicago. Let him and Milton soak up Embiid's massive usage.

How long can they keep winning while decimated by injury? Is the winning streak snapped tonight?

Time's yours...

Hearing rumors that Green is back. If so, then I expect this:

PG Maxey | Milton
SG Curry | Springer
SF Green |
PF Korkmaz | Niang
CE Drummond | Reed | Bassey

8 man rotation with the guys above, excluding Bassey and Springer.

I think we're gonna play a similar starting line up than the one who played against the Bulls but without drummons instead of Embiid and Danny for Milton.

Maxey
Curry
Green
Reed
Drummond

Green, Niang or Kork would get demolished by Randle just using brute force.

Please no conspiracy theories here my dudes. We've got enough stupidity with the Sixers to bring this into here.

As much bad luck as we might have but at least we may not deal with covid cases at the end of the season or in our playoff run. So this may be a blessing in disguise.

All the best to Jojo, get well soon big fella!

I fully expect 2 or 3 more players to come down with covid now also. Why not? It's obviously spreading all over the team.

Let me get this straight....if you get the vax, but still get infected the effects are very mild..a cold or mild flu....if you get a normal cold/flu, you don't have to sit out, but if you are vaxxed and get covid you do have to sit out...

I know what you'll say...."It's to protect others"...but aren't the others on the court mostly vaxxed?

Help a conspiracy theorist, anti science person understand this. Thank you!

I disagree with this. Obviously getting COVID doesn't keep you from getting it again. That's why you have to get the vaccine even if you've been infected.

And getting the vaccine obviously doesn't prevent you from getting COVID. We have 4 vaccinated players who just got it.

So I see ZERO benefit to us long-term from this outbreak hitting our team.

I agree it's ridiculous but let's not go down this road in this thread.

I apologize for bringing it up.

I agree with this.

We're also not taking into account the fact that some players have experienced collateral effects of covid and breathing problems. Seth mentioned that he had trouble to get into form again after having COVID last season, Tatum mentioned he didn't feel good at all the entire season.

What if this happened in the playoffs? These dumb policies would have destroyed the season.

Because COVID has been more infectious (and deadly) over the past year and half than the common cold and flu. Also, the NBA doesn't want to appear flippant about the dangers of this virus, even though cases have dropped.

I believe after this season, the restrictions will lax, or even be lifted completely. The restrictions likely aren't necessary: these are pro athletes in peak shape; they'll survive COVID. But they likely want to be part of the solution in ending COVID rather than pretending it doesn't exists and going on with business as usual.

All that said, it doesn't appear you are receptive to contrary POV.

Cbf looking it up so what are the protocols?

Here in Australia, the entire team would have been in isolation for a period after Tobias was diagnosed as they are close contacts

Would then need to return some negative tests before being cleared

Takes a few days minimum so games would be postponed

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
