Think this is probably missing a handful of first round picks before Cleveland might consider it. And even then, probably not. They gas Garland up like crazy. I think they view him and Mobley as the two building blocks on the team.

My bad, I underrated Garland.

Thinking about current FA centers you can get on the cheap. Culture be damned, because the only thing worse than bringing in a malcontent is losing.

Looks like the "cream of the crop" is DeMarcus Cousins, Bismack Biyombo and the corpse of Aron Baynes. Woof. But gotta get another big body in here.

Luke Kornet. I’ve had an odd fascination with him for a couple seasons now and I think he’d be an ok reserve center.

Donte returning sooner rather than later could definitely help staunch some of the bleeding on the court.

Or if we're going to move him maybe that happens in the not too distant future.

You have an open roster spot so I'm not really seeing what's stopping them from bringing Ersan in on a 10-day. Even a guy like Biyombo helps you so much more right now in those non-Giannis minutes. Just rip the band-aid off and admit that Semi isn't an NBA rotation guy. I don't know what they're waiting to see with him.

They were banking on Semi as a PR win to claim the team was justified with the financial decision letting PJ walk for another guy with a similar build.

That has not worked out well.

The Heat's rise is going to include plenty of stories about how they stole Tucker from us and will make us pay in the playoffs.

Even aside from the merits of whether that ultimately happens down the stretch, the Bucks were hoping to avoid that, and our slow start will put bright lights on the decision to take fliers on some journeymen rather than pay a bit more for a known quantity in PJ.

I don't think any of the names mentioned here realistically make us better, especially if the Brook injury may not be a long term thing. Now that Bobby is truely back, we're actually fine in terms of bigs. Sure we're giving up size every game, but we get shooting and offense as a tradeoff from Bobby compared to other bigs around the leauge.
The bigger deal is that we have to play one of Semi/Hood and that Hill has to create more than within his comfort level. That plus waving levels of energy. Once Middleton returns, the first problem evaporates and then we can hold out till Semi and Hood become tradeable, which is in about a month.

10 days don't exist yet until March I believe

But, non guaranteed deals do

Bucks could be 4-10 at the end of this road trip with Philly, Knicks, Boston and Atlanta coming up

Hood got a DNP last night, I don't think he's got anything left

Semi looks just bad. He gets beat on so many rebounds.

I'm gonna keep banging the drum on Dante Exum and I think I'd rather have Biyombo over Ersan at this point

Get one more ball handler to cut down George Hill minutes who is playing more minutes than he should and get someone who can box out, block some shots and can pull down 10 rebounds.

I think I would throw short term considerations to the wind and sign Louis King.

If we're thinking about taking Ersan out of mothballs, might Marc Gasol also be someone we'd look at?

Gasol, 36, addressed his current situation and the uncertainty of his plans in an interview with Ricardo Moya on “Sentido De La Birra”. “I have to train and see what I’m going to do” told Gasol as adapted by Gigantes. “I’m at the point of seeing how far I can see myself and see what I want to do when I’m at the optimum point”.

Gasol retired from the Spanish National Team following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, though he is not yet at the point of retiring from professional basketball overall.

“I have been fortunate to have played many years in the NBA and to have experienced practically everything that can be experienced as a basketball player”, he said. “What I demand of myself is not only to be there but also to help and contribute. That demand and what that rhythm of life entails is a toll and I was beginning to not be as I would like be”.

“I thought about whether I could be that way again. Can I go back to that level? I erased the entire board and started over. And now I have to train”, said Gasol.

I'm the original Brook Lopez fan, but I don't think his absence explains all of this. We've got the other answers, like Middleton and Holiday not being on the court at the same time. Additionally, while I greatly enjoy the swag offensive plays that Grayson and Nwora bring to the table, they aren't nearly as good defensively as some of the other guys we've had in those roles in years past.

I do like the idea of begging Marc Gasol to come back. But it feels like we're simply going to have to ride out these next 30-days, hoping for health and the team getting their chemistry back.

Grayson Allen is trending on twitter because of what Mac Jones did, but what Mac Jones did looks a lot worse than anything Grayson Allen ever did.

While he was in college I was on the "wow, what an **** " train as much as the next guy, but it's kind of crazy how he has been unable to escape this after 4 years in the NBA basically without incident.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
