Jonas putting up 20/14/3/1/1 on the season
maybe one day he will get to play on a contender again
interestingly he is shooting almost 2 3s a game which he has never done before and that seems to have helped his confidence as he is hitting them at 58%
if he could eventually put up 4 or 5 a game and still hit at 40%+ that would really change his impact, especially since he is good at finding guys who are slashing too

It's difficult to fathom that this is his 12th year in the NBA. He's a bargain @14million averaging 20pts/14rb. Interesting little tidbit, he's not averaged below 50% from the field throughout his career with this year being the worst at .503. I know, people will forever keep saying that Gasol won us the title, but I am one that would have kept Jonas long term.

I really hope Pelicans trade JV asap. He is a legit asset that can help with their rebuild. Plus I hate JV is rotting in that dumpster fire.

His 2 point shooting has tanked. They're playing him a tonne of minutes, which is weird since he usually plays under thirty, and also because they have like one win. I always liked his potential to hit threes, and mentioned it before casey did early on in his career, when everyone thought casey was joking.
Let's playin for 9th!

Hey guys, I just decided to start a blog a few months ago and wrote a piece about our Raps just after the draft with an ode to the GROAT. I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting a link to my piece here, it's just a passion project that I've had in mind for a long time. Let me know your thoughts!! https://court-vision.ca/

If he was not at bottom feeder...
But, as of today https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=nba+players+three+point+percentage+leaders+2021-2022 and https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=nba+players+double-double+leaders+2021-2022 JV does JV's job on double-doubles and (quite surprisingly) leads NBA in 3PT percentage. In tonight's game against Grizz, he presented his role to play at Pels with BI and Zion in the paint - stretch 5 with distributing from the top of the key. Looked impressive - 3/3 treys, 3AST and lots of screen assists and box outs (didn't count)

Yeah. And to be fair JV has been extremely efficient. 51% from the field, 58% from three, 90% from the FT line. And also a career high 2.7 assists per game. Sadly, that's not enough when you're missing Ingram/Zion and the rest of the team is shooting below 40% from the field and sub-30% from three. I mean just look at their perimeter players:
Nickeil Alexander Walker - 38% FG / 28% 3PT
Devonte Graham - 38% FG / 34% 3PT
Trey Murphy III - 32% FG / 34% 3PT
Tomas Satoransky - 29% FG / 28% 3PT
Kira Lewis - 33% FG / 17% 3PT
I'm actually shocked they even won 2 games with these scrubs.

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
He provides good spacing for perimeter players to penetrate and his screens, floor stretching are solid. They play good basketball, just not many decent players and worst bench in NBA
