The Hawks and Trae Young seem to be something Curry took personally.

i am just in awe that Steve Kerr would be ok to do this..ive seen plenty of times he took Curry out when he was absolutely on fire.

Love GP2 tonight even after Trae cooked him early. Don't mind if he uses all his fouls every game either haha

Yeah, I think GP2 did well. He definitely doesn't have a defensive rep with the refs yet, but I'm good with his game overall.
He got cooked by Trae early, but it happens.

The nasty man lineups with GP2, Andre, Dray, JTA/Wiggs are just devastating. The past couple (closer) games have totally swung thanks to 3+ of those guys being on the court at the same time. Just ratchets up the defensive intensity to 1000.

After going 6/6 FG in the 1st half, Collins went 0/1 FG in the 2nd half.

Whatever adjustments Kerr did at halftime worked.

The team is just elite defensively. GPII got fouled out of the game, next possession you see Andre at half court on Trae. I still think Wiggins isn't playing quite to his level from last season, I'm hoping he gets there in the next 2 weeks.

If Klay comes back and plays a similar level defense that he did pre-injury, Warriors could be the best defensive team in the league heading to the playoffs.

Kuminga got some early and late burn tonight and overall...he was pretty awful. Seemed lost. Got easily confused on rotations, unclear on where to be on offense, committed a frustration foul, never got his body on his man for defensive rebounds (actually lost one like that) and played way too far off his man in the fourth - honestly looked like he thought it was a zone while everyone was playing man. Made one or two good plays, but still settling in.

He'll be fine, but man Moody and him couldn't be more different as players ha.

There were no adjustments... people keep saying GP2 got roasted. Guys like Trae, Curry, Dame.. if you catch them when theyre hot, whos stopping them? Anyone?

Trae got hot. We rode it out and they couldnt sustain it.. because Curry got hot twice. Thats what it came down to - our star got on a heater twice, theirs only once. Our defense looked a lot better in the 2nd half because, for whatever reason, the Hawks decided to share the ball more and try and have the secondary players score. And bless them for that

And that folks is what a superstar is for. The rest of the crew can be fantastic but you still need to have that.

On Kerr meddling with Steph's rotations, I don't mind as long as it isn't too drastic and is gradually implemented. If anything I'm of the opinion Kerr should have done similar in previous years. The reason is this: as great as Steph is, I actually see room for improvement—which should be a scary thought for the rest of the league. If Curry can master his ability to launch flurries and have them not just occur in the final minutes of the third quarter that would definitely be something worth pursuing. In my view the strict predictable rotation minutes might be lulling Curry into a sense of complacency. Mixing it up a little and experimenting with what Curry can do in early games in the season to potentially unlock more potential is something I think a great coach would do.

That...was impressive.

Hawks looked like a very good team until the Warriors shut them down. Wow.

unbelievable game and another Curry classic. Man some of you fans are so fickle when it comes to Kerr, dude is one of the best things that have ever happened to this organization and some of you jump at the first opportunity to rip the guy. He has this team playing hard and playing for each other while rocking the best record in the NBA! But those rotations.....

I still contend Kerr's rotations cost us the game. 8-)

Can't wait for the T Wolves game. Have tons of thoughts on them. Namely for all the gaudy counting stats Edwards puts up, the advanced numbers are bad...his usage rate is absurdly high...and he takes the most shots on the team? He's young so he'll continue to improve but giving your soph no structure and a massive leash may not end up being the best approach.

Their big 3 had great games tonight, but fell to MEM. Can't count on two good DLo games in a row so I like our chances.

It's also good to see that Malik Beasley's numbers finally reflect who he is as a person: a massive turd.

Haven’t watched the game yet, but this is my type of game thread. Most everyone hates most everything, but they win by 14 against a solid team.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

If Kerr learned during the lean times that the star power of your superstar is something that should be actively burnished then that is an improvement.

So many things:

- with all respect, how is he alive? Drinks like a fish and smokes like a chimney

- what kind of poker game requires a knife?

- following up on the knife, think he won fairly?
