Michigan State ruins their playoff chances with a loss to mediocre Purdue.

This made me look it up. Ruiz is 36-38 from less than 40 yards in his career and 16-32 from 40 yards or more, with 7 of those misses from 50+. 137-138 on XP's.

Hope the AD goes on air today and says there are open interviews for new head coaches on campus.

This reminds me a lot of Mike Zimmer trashing Daniel Carlson after he missed the 3 field goals against us in 2018. They cut him, fast forward 3 years, how many kickers has Minny gone through and lost because of them? And Carlson has stuck with Oakland the whole time.

I am probably in the minority here given Nebraska retaining Frost for now is being laughed at by everyone, but I do think they should keep him.

1. Stability is a good thing. If they hire some new hot MAC coach, other than picking a style that works better in the B10, that coach is likely going to fail just as miserably. Nebraska is in a **** recruiting area and doesn't have the cachet anymore. They do attract some studs from Texas or Florida...but not enough to be that good.

2. Nebraska isn't that bad. I know this will sound funny but basically all advanced rating systems still has them in the top 25. Now, I think those systems still hold a bit of recruiting rankings in, in which Nebraska fares well...but remember when there was a narrative that Wisconsin is pretty good but just getting some bad luck on turnovers? Well, that's Nebraska but almost every game. An argument can be made there that that should be on coaching, but they're a lot closer to being a good team than probably most think.

I am not shaking in my boots but Nebraska is a decent team that could win in Madison if they finally just don't shoot themselves in the foot.

The only bone to pick is that as noted before, Nebraska is a bit more air-dependent than you should be in the B10 West.

The talent in the upper Midwest/Great Plains is awful. You might grab one 4-star WR from Florida but you can't build your offense around passing, as hilarious as that sounds. You need a line and power running + defense. See: Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern when they're good.

I find the complaints about H2H results to be so overblown. It's fair to debate, but acting incredulous is foolish. Michigan has clearly been better than Michigan State IMO, regardless of a flukey H2H loss on the road, so for me there's no need to invoke an H2H tiebreaker in the first place - and that's all H2H is, a tiebreaker.

As far as I'm concerned, you don't get to lose somewhat convincingly at a borderline top-25 team like Purdue and then act like that's no worse than Michigan barely losing at the #3 CFP team, even if you happen to have been that #3 team yourself. Michigan's convincing win at Wisconsin is looking more impressive every week too.

MI can be frustrating to watch for sure, but I'd shoot myself if I had to watch PSU more than once/year.

**** off, Fleck. You suck again.

No idea what Iowa was doing on their final drive when they got the ball at the 2 but they held on.

Gotta love how excited Texas' defense gets when they make a stop against Kansas after giving up 49.
